It was a great trailer. I like going back and watching it from time to time. It will be interesting to see what happens for Episode 7.

 

I remember seeing this before The Incredibles. I was in 7th grade. Good times.

 

Hopefully the new movies will live up to the expectations...

I used to think that was a commercial for star out the whole word-Darth Boba!

 

Now that we've reached 2013, I'm hoping the proper info will start pouring in. Whether they be from websites, SDCC, the Celebrations, or word of mouth or interviews.

The whole debacle of "Disney ruining Star Wars" is still way too fresh in mind. We need stuff to lighten the freaking mood.

 

Unlike the PT. Which in a good way has lowered my expectations and done the ST a big favour.

 

I'm in the camp where some think Lucas did a pretty good job of ruining Star Wars with the PT!

 

No, really? I had absolutely no idea you felt that way...

 

Why is there such a big "OMG DISNEY IS GONNA RUIN STAR WARS! NOOOO!" mentality running around in the wake of all this? Why doesn't people have at least some faith in Disney? (and considering all the bad rap the PT still keeps on getting, that mentality feels even more ridiculous).

 

Only the uninformed and the delusional still believe that. You will find most of them on the YouTube comment sections. Most people on here are smart enough, or are well aware enough, to be able to point to recent Disney ventures that were successful and are more than watchable for the average adult.

 

Agreed. You know, because Disney has really done a bad job on Marvel and Pixar movies. As far as I can see they pretty much leave them (Marvel & Pixar) to do their own thing. I think their attitude towards Lucasfilm will be no different.

 

Given DIsney has been non-interventionist with the other big companies it has purchased (Marvel & Pixar for example) there is no reason to assume they won't do the same thing with Lucasfilm.

I can't see them doing much aside from cashing in on the characters in their theme parks (which they were already doing) and selling the merchandise (finally I will not be ashamed to go into the Disney Store ), unless the ST bombs and they feel intervention is needed to help the franchise improve.

 

Disney gave us a new hope for more SW movies and I doubt they spent $4 billion big ones just to fail. ST could just bring all their investment back or more. And seeing how good the Marvel movies are of late, I think we will see a good many things for Disney SW too!

Same here! I missed not only this trailer but also the movie in the cinema in 05'. Had to watch it on a bootleg DVD a few months later, darn!

 

Awesome trailer, takes me back. Just wanna say I can't wait til 2015 and beyond.

 

The teaser trailer for ROTS was amazing. Just imagine how great it's going to be to see the VII teaser when it comes out sometime next year.
