Saga Mind control

    Other than the Jedi mind trick, are there any examples of brainwashing people and/or mind controlling them in Star Wars? And, if so, why hasn't it been used more often?

    I suspect the Jedi consider it a morally gray area, to be used only in necessity and self-defense and as minimally as possible.

    The clone troopers could be considered an example of this...then we have the theory that Palpatine sent the vision to Anakin and his mental taunting of Anakin while Anakin was supposed to remain in the Council chambers.

    There are more examples in the EU.

    They were genetically altered and conditioned since birth to be obedient. Seems like brainwashing/conditioning/mind control to me, or at least in the same area.

    Their reaction to Order 66 seems to back it up, imo.
