Star Wars characters are all immortal, people.

There is no death, there is only the Force.

I know its a stretch, but if the timeline works... could Maul have turned Krell to the darkside?
They made it a blatant point, that the Jedi knew he went to Umbara.

What was the purpose of Maul's trip, if writers went out of their way to tell us that he took one?

I don't think so. Krell would have been going down a dark road a ways before Umbara. Remember Fives talking about his casualty numbers? The war did this to him.

Yeah that was my feeling too, that Krell just cracked under the pressure. it frankly amazes me that it hasn't happened to more Jedi than just him.

Next time, try Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses, to help you develop a relaxed attitude to danger.

Senator Kelberry, I'm sure there are other stories of Jedi who have cracked and gone astray because of the war. I should like to see more of that onscreen.

Good thing I only mentioned that throwaway comment about Umbara, or it would have been an epic-spoiler-fail on my part.

When exactly would Maul turn Krell? Was Krell sneaking away from the troops to go be turned in the woods? He seemed corrupted from the moment he arrived to replace Anakin, and his interest to become Dooku's apprentice would seem odd if Maul is the one that turned him (to what end?)

I'd like to know if he is counting "appearances" or "major role."

Appearances. Plo has not had 18 major appearances.

I'm thinking appearances. The Rex total seems generous to me when I think of his major episodes.

Mainstream media exposure can't hurt. I reckon the percentage of prospective viewers who actually appreciate that TCW is a long-running TV show rather than a one-off spin-off movie has passed the 50% mark by now.

Yes, I found the in-depth interview with Filoni very interesting:

Very enlightening. Some of his replies seem like they were at least partly related to points raised here.

Keep Filoni away from the Sequel Trilogy, that needs to go to a class act director with experience. TCW has been far too hit-and-miss for my liking for one of the directors to ascend to the position of directing the actual movies.

If Filoni directed the ST...Ahsoka would be the main character and would be the Supreme Grand Master of the New Jedi Order, Plo would get almost as much screen time, and Obi-Wan would get the crap beaten out of him every half an hour.

By that replier's standards, a guy who knows that Boba Fett's name isn't "Bounty Hunter" is probably considered amazingly knowledgeable.
