i'm guessing the season finale was written as a potential series finale. can't imagine the writers would really bank on this show getting another shot.

 

It's certainly going to be one of the last "smart" single-camera sitcoms (the other being Parks and Rec) on NBC for a while.

 

Good riddance. Never heard a good thing about the guy from anyone.

 

Chavy Chase was pretty good in Three Amigos.

Whilst Chevy Chase is an undoubted knob, I will kind of miss Pierce. One of those characters I think (should the show come back for a fifth season) that you'll not realise you miss until he's not there any longer.

And really, Ganz was basically the last of the major Harmon-era writers. We'd already lost a few good ones before season 4.

 

Every time I see this thread upped, I worry what bad news will be next.


Cooperative Calligraphy and Basic Lupine Urology were amazing.

 

While it's sad to lose a writer, with comedies it's much more about the room as a whole than the one person technically assigned to an episode. Community under Harmon had two rooms simultaneously breaking different eps and he would go between them. That's a lot of writers and money. I expected to probably lose some in this downsizing.

But yeah unless an AD style Netflix deal happens, these will be the last 13 eps.

you mean we could rent a car and drive by where they film it? yeah, we might have enough money for that.

 

I don't know what that's about. Part-time writing? Guest writing? She's clearly not expecting a fifth season. But hey, maybe she could make Modern Family more tolerable.

 

Surely one of us has some distant relative that is a billionaire who will conveniently leave us all his money. Or we could try bake sales, car washes, lemonade stands, while playing 80s music and hope for a montage effect.

 

Maybe Valyn can buy it for us.
