The oldest way of recording a movie was taking a picture of the tv screen when the show was running... when I was a young kid. I think I have that pic somewhere still...

Reduced time, Bean...? Thank God that Santa and the Krampus do not share your Christmas 'work ethic' or children everywhere would not recieve their toys... or get dragged violently to their punishment... depending on which shows up to offer festivity. That's just lovely... you go and leave the rest of us here on the Island of Misfit Toys all alone.

So far, so good on my substitute WNU policing. One insidious book-themed troll stopped, one spam marketing robot deleted, and close to a dozen newbies indoctrinated "equipped" for the boards. We are having a lovely week here... all of the WNUs down in WNUville.

Every WNU down in WNUville like the JC a lot.
But the troll who came from another forum did not.
The troll hated the JC; the whole Star Wars fandom.
Please don't ask why; it seems quite random.

It could be, perhaps, that his username wasn't tight.
It could be that his icon wasn't just right.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

But whatever the reason, his icon or his name,
He looked at WNU; he thought it was to blame.
Staring at the board with his sour trolly look,
At the warm, happy threads (some about a book).

For he knew every WNUbie in WNU below
Was busy, now, playing Teh Mole.
"And they're asking their questions," he snarled with a sneer.
"And soon will come EVII! It's practically here!"

Then he growled, with his troll fingers nerviously drumming,
"I must find some way to keep EVII from coming!
For soon, I know, all those WNU girls and boys
Will wake bright and early like they're getting toys!

"And then ... all the fans! All the fans, fans, fans, fans!
If there's one thing I hate ... all the fans, fans, fans, fans!
And they'll shriek, , squeak, and squeal racing round in their cars
To get to those movie theaters of thars."

What a lovely little poem to read! Especially since I haven't poked my head around here in forever... I dunno if I can still be called a Newbie, but I don't see myself as a Midbie either. Maybe somewhere inthe middle of the two...

To all of the WNUs down in WNUville... Thanks everybody for a successful week of Sebine being crazy enough to leave me as the responsible adult. We had a good week, I think. Didn't burn the house down.

That Batman-esque villain the Bookworm was stopped after only creating 8 threads about books, the robot invasion was squelched after only one spambot got through to sell us a better brand of marketing tool, a lot of newbies got all of the info they needed, and we even helped pick out a few avatars. Nice and mellow... just the way that an order-monger such as myself likes things...
