Authors/Comic book writers

In this thread, people can discuss authors/comic book writers who did help establish the EU, but dropped out of the picture.

Some of the comic book writers I liked very much, but who have graduately disappeared or went on to write non-SW comics are Ron Marz and Timothy Truman.

Truman created many important characters such as A'Sharad Hett and the Dark Woman while Ron Marz wrote the excellent Darth Maul comic series and Jango Fett comic series.

Which authors do you miss? Which authors do you want to see come back.

By the way, I am big fan of Tom Veitch as well. I would love it if he came back...

 

Author wise I would like to see Michael A Stackpole and Kevin J. Anderson come back.

I would very much like Stackpole to come back. Also, A.C. Crispin. I remember really enjoying her Han trilogy.

 

AC Crispin needs to write a trilogy of the history one of the new characters leading up to the ST

 

Well, I think everyone wants to see Stackpole and Anderson come back again!

 

In my opinion, Darco Macan was also a very good comic book writer.
He wrote Vader's Quest, Chewbacca, Jedi vs Sith, a story arc of X-Wing...

 

Stackpole yes but reactions are mixed on Anderson I think.

Unlike quite a few people here, I enjoyed the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy, written by K.W. Jeter. I've read a few other non-SW books by him that I liked. I wouldn't mind seeing him do another Fett novel.

Although I have not read the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy yet, I have read some passages in the Essential Guides in which the trilogy was mentioned.
I think you are right. Its story seems to be pretty good.

Unfortunately, SW novels are hard to get in Belgium. So, I will probably never read it...

 

Have you tried Amazon UK for SW books? They say books can be shipped to almost any country in the world from there. Note that the Amazon Marketplace sellers might have other restrictions.

 

The Sun Crusher, the way Luke used to determine Force-Sensitivity, the fact that Kyp wasn't put on trial etc.

Despite the fact that the trilogy is partly responsible for Zuckuss needing meds and therapy, I did enjoy the books as well. I like Jeter's writing style and dammit—he gave us D'harhan!

 

Yes, I have. When a book is published I defenitely want to read, I order it on Amazon.
The problem is I have to be really selective. If I would order every SW book I want to read on Amazon, well then they would have to ship a whole lot of books!

 

I would love to see more of Zuckuss and 4-LOM in the future. I think they are two bounty hunters that have become underrated.
I do not get why people like Bossk and IG-88 more than Zuckuss and 4-LOM.

 

I admit Xux was not one of my favourite characters, but still...

 

Did he get these reactions after the release of the the Prequel Trilogy or before it?

 

Not sure. Probably after.
