Arena Well, I'd Rather Be Dead in Arizona Than Alive in Utah (NHL Discussion, Playoffs and Relocation)

I guess I really should go see a Wheeling Nailers game again, or at least a Robert Morris one.

 

Man I miss living near the Island Sports Center, I would go hit golf balls and you'd see all kinds of hockey players there too.

 

Bobby Mo is playing Penn State, and Miami of Ohio and Ohio State are playing at the Consol Energy Center in a couple weeks. It could be really fun to go to. I think some of the local radio stations are doing giveaways for it.

 

It seems the economy is really hurting here from the lockout.

 

Just got back from my first ever ECHL game between the SF Bulls and the Stockton Thunder (apparently they are an Oilers affiliate). Almost 13,000 fans screaming for hockey...it felt good, yet bittersweet.

 

We've now officially lost half the season with all games through Jan 14 cancelled.

 

That's got to be close to the point of the season where you just throw in the towel.

 

Get rid of Bettman

 

The NHLPA has decided to continue negotiations with NHL rather than file for dissolution for now.

 

Isn't that the truth? I mean, it's not like the players or the owners don't have a part in this, but when there's been three lockouts under the guy's tenure? Common denominator and all that.

I miss my Pens.

 

Well it "only" took 113 days but THE LOCKOUT IS OVER. It's about ****in' time!

I think the most interesting part of this new deal is that all bottom 14 teams will be eligible for the first overall draft pick.

 

Thank God. Hopefully I will get a chance to take my roommate to a Kings game now.

 

How are we feeling for doing another fantasy league this season? Just not sure how many people would be interested.

 

I would but my work schedule just doesn't give me the time to do it.

The thing I am most looking forward to this season for the Penguins is the goalies. We signed Tomas Vokoun to go along with Fleury. Should be nice to have two decent goalies.

 

Man, I've almost completely forgotten all the moves that happened during the off season.

 

I'd be down for fantasy hockey.

 

I am hoping the Pens dump Paul Martin, he's not worth his deal.

 

He's pretty bad, no doubt. He was better (or perhaps, not as exposed) during his first year.


Remember when we thought Shero's signings were great? Not so much, now.
