Jabba-wocky claims that X2 is the greatest superhero movie ever. Care to elaborate, Jabba-wocky? Just curious, I usually enjoy your posts.

I thought it started out great and then went into the tank at about the halfway point. Maybe I'll watch it again soon and see how it goes.

After the disappointing X2, I wasn't very interested in any more. But my mom got me X3 for my birthday one year so I felt obligated to watch it. I can't even talk about that movie without ranting into orbit. After X3, I decided to never watch another X-Men movie, and what I heard about Wolverine plus my dislike for the character made it easy. But people have been telling me that First Class would restore my faith since it premiered, and I finally gave in a few days ago. It was good enough to get me to give the next one a try.

I agree that First Class is the best X-Men movie, though I must confess to having a soft-spot the size of Lotho Minor for Beast being portrayed by Kelsey Grammer. I mean, it's Frasier as Beast, that just rules.

It means I uploaded directly, instead of linking to bucket or one of the others. As for the dead one, I tried fitting her in and just could not find the right image. I do have one with a mouse.star in the corner. ;)

So my client brings her five year old Lena to the 9:30 training session today, armed with a kindle and some shoes that light up. And about ten minutes in, I hear the Imperial March coming from the corner... and Lena starts talking like little-girl-Vader. I just about melted. Turns out, she has an "18, 20 and 23 year old brothers who are big Star Wars nerds" -Mom's words. Made my morning watching her stomp around, lighting up her shoes, quoting TESB.:)

She likes Star Wars, "because they have Jedi."
She likes Yoda, "because he's little."
She likes Darf.Faye.Der, "because he is Luke's dad."

    ***

Icing on the cake was that she had no clue when I asked if she liked Ahsoka.
So I thanked her mom for raising a purist.
    ;)

    PS.
My one regret is that I forgot to ask if she knows who Lando is.

Aww that's to cute. I've always been a tom boy myself. I've corrupted my niece that way. She likes trains, telescopes, and Star Wars. However her favorite is Ahsoka so I failed her in that regard. xD

It's not canon. It should be emanciated and have crazy looking eyes. And wouldn't it be considered a hideous blasphemous abomination by SW purists? I love the caption on it. I thought it was saying: "Die Darth Maul Spider!" and then I realized it was in German.

    OOU-Artistic interpretation.:p

    But...
If you want blasphemous, how about a
Hutt Sith-Lord with legs AND a Jedi Padawan learner?

And, after reading Zombie's work, I'm pretty sure purity ends after the first original opening crawl.:p

I would support the Awards, but I guess it's probably moot at this point. It would be more fun if we didn't worry about hurting feelings and do it like on the JCC. :p

Regarding avatars, I like the idea of having an unchanging one that people recognize as being that user. That is more feasible now that we upload our own instead of using one from a provided set like on the old boards, since on that someone else could accidentally "steal" an icon just by choosing it too. Two people could upload the same pic too, but it's less likely to happen.

Anyway, that's all kind of besides the point for me, because I am totally unable to settle on one pic as an avatar and leave it. I can't help changing, and sometimes pretty frequently... haha.
