I'm hoping it's a post-RotJ book featuring characters I actually care about. Which means it'll definitely be either something in the Old Republic era or with brand new characters in the Legacy area.

 

I wouldn't put it past them.
Del Rey tweets and get's everyone excited......it's another book to tie into TOR.

But yeah, I'm hoping it's Luceno's next novel.

 

Really hoping for a Stover announcement. I know he's working on several projects right now, so it might not be out of the question.

Either way, I hope it isn't crappy filler.

5. Luceno: (Just finished Plagieus) Perhaps a Dooku book formation of CIS? Chewie returns book?
6. Stover: (Rumored to do IC2) IC2, or something along that lines
7. JJM: Working on Kenobi
8. Zahn: (Rumored to want to do a Skywalker family adventure) Perhaps a Luke Mara Ben novel?
9. Reaves/Bohnhof: Working/Done on Last of the Jedi (Maybe another?)

There's two or three novels that could still be released this year that we don't know about. One of them is most likely a Rebel novel, but even if the autumn sees another TOR novel I still hope for Luceno or Stover.

 

And to think, Hav was worried we'd just speculate wildly.

 

I shouldn't be much longer til we find out. To be honest, the Rebels series holds no interests to me

 

Part of me still misses Sue Rostoni spelling out when everything was coming out

 

I'd like it to be IC 2, but feel like it can't be. IC 2 has been talked about publically a lot. I'm not talking about the potential of the Stover penned sequel here, but all that years of chatter before it. I seem to recall them even mentioning it at C6 last summer.

If this is truly something we know nothing about, IC 2 isn't it.

 

Why do you have to get my hope up like that?

 

Hmmmm...they haven't talked about it before....hmmm...how about the first book of the post-RotJ *reboot* because the ST is going to make the existing post-RotJ EU "Infinities"?

Then why drive forward with Crucible and SotJ?

If we are going to go through a reboot, at least save X Wing and Thrawn...

That being said the new novel has NOTHING to do with EP 7. So that means no reboot... yet.

 

Crucible and SOTJ were announced before the ST announcement and will be out before then. Maybe to wrap up things we have now?
That would be up to TPTB
Eventually we will get Episode 7 tie-ins. Won't be this time but we have to be prepared to throw out everything.
