I guess the media which don't depict Anakin as a Padawan, or don't feature him at all, can be still placed in the timeline period in which it orignally was.

You really can't fit all of the EU in that 7 weeks. I've long-since split them up into EU Clone Wars and TCW Clone Wars (redundant?). At least we now have a definitive timeline for the show, as that's something I'd always been asking for since Season 3 started jumping around the place.

    Yeaaaaah, thanks, 07jonesj
I, too, wondered about that. I thought I'd have to wait for all the episodes to re-reun in syndication before I got a solid timeline.

I don't understand why Bounty Hunters is after the Holocron arc. Nor do I understand why Corruption/The Academy comes immediately after the Mandalore (S2) arc. I just thought there'd be some time in between. Any thoughts?

    No problem. :)

It seems like the Battle of Felucia lasts the entire Clone Wars. In Holocron Heist, we know that the Republic lose that area. They probably didn't lose the whole planet, just that location.

In Bounty Hunters, the opening reel states that the trio are sent to investigate why a medical station over Felucia has gone dark (it's been destroyed). It's Vulture Droids, and they land on a part of the planet not claimed by either faction.

Then in Padawan Lost, the Wolfpack are launching an attack on a Separatist base. So it works, with the battle of Felucia being one of the longest of the Wars.

I was surprised by having the two Mandalore arcs be right after one another. I mean, I guess it makes sense - the Republic would want to root out corruption as quickly as possible, right? Though Anakin being without Ahsoka in the first three episodes, then arriving with Ahsoka in The Academy, and leaving her again is rather odd.

Sorry. I can't buy that. Bounty Hunters is OBVIOUSLY the first time they've been on Felucia. The story works best with that episode in the forefront, because you can then assume that they didn't manage to escape in time for the seperatists arrival. Having it the opposite way feels wrong, not to mention sloppy... and doesn't make ANY sense.

The only way I can enjoy both the EU and Lucas's stories of CW as a whole continuity is to assume that the current series begins halfway through the war (a year and a half). I don't pay attention to given dates... that's all going to hell anyway once the series completes, and someone writes whatever stories to patch up discrepencies. Probably in ten years or so, by the time THAT happens. So for now, I consider the Annakin/Padawan stories as the first half of the war... and Annakin/Knight stories second half. Much simpler that way, and I stay sane, lol!

Well, "Bounty Hunters" was created 26 production episodes after "Holocron Heist", so it seems to me TCW team definitely meant "Holocron Heist" to come first. How doesn't it make sense? Felucia is a big planet, both armies are entrenched. Since they both lack the strength to overwhelm the other, it would be logical that there are parts of the planet they can't afford to hold. That or they're tactically pointless. Why bother eliminating all the Rancors etc. for a piece of pointless farmland?

The incredible battle depicted in Heist shows the Seperatists in full force, so much so that Republic are forced to retreat. We are then asked to belive that the medical station was untouched during the ensuing episodes, and then..sometime much later.. it is a mystery what affected the station (???). Not to mention all the Seppi troops seem to have completely flown the coup by the time the jedi return (in a single ship, considering what happens in Heist (???) ).. with no signs of enemy troops around the planet. That they would be alowed to land, undetected, and have all that time to train these farmers before the Seps return.
No. The didn't take the planet, and leave. They would hold the planet, and leave forces there.. which would be clearly visable, if not.. at least detectable from orbit. And there is no way... no way.. the trio would go through that intense a battle, be driven away like that and return in ONE small vessel.. no back up at all... wondering .. "whatever could have happened to that station?"
If that is what Chee is asking us to believe, with all the attention to detail that goes into the show, we need another Keeper, lol! Just sayin'.

I totally agree with you, Bounty Hunters obivously comes first.
That doesn't really mean anything. Rookies was made in Season 1, Clone Cadets was made in Season 3. Does that mean that Clone Cadets is the sequel? Nopee :)

The difference being that "Clone Cadets" was billed as a prequel, whereas "Bounty Hunters" was never implied to be one to "Holocron Heist".

This isn't a debate anyway. "Holocron Heist" takes place first. :p

    Sorry.

We know that the Republic are forced to retreat from that area of the planet, just because they lost that skirmish does not mean they lost the battle. The medical station... honestly that doesn't make sense wherever you place "Bounty Hunters". Surely that's not important enough to send three Jedi, no three Jedi without escort. Maybe the Force demanded it?

Your points are valid, but "Holocron Heist" still takes place first canonically.

I'm just going to wait for it to be explained in the chronological post. It's an incredibly stupid decision to put it there. It just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

Not exactly. Chee might just be the messenger, or maybe not. But I agree with your logic: FWIW I think Chee (or the person that told him) is wrong. LFA isn't always correct.
You're absolutely right, officially HH comes first, but...
We, the audience, do not have to follow the official order. I appreciate what Chee is doing, really, but I'll watch in the order that seems best/logical to me: Bounty Hunters --> Holocron Heist.
( 07jonesj Thanks again for posting that list of eps. I'd never have known!)

Self-determination is important! Or at least, that's what Fives tells me. Yeah, enjoyment always comes first, so if watching it in that order is more enjoyable, who am I to argue? :)

Glad I could help out. I'm actually surprised that the visual guide wasn't hyped or advertised to have that information in it. Surely that would have raised sales?

Haha, okay. I don't like where Supply Lines is, so far away from the Ryloth arc. I'd rather put it right before the Ryloth arc and either leave Ambush immediately after SL or LOR. I also don't like where Clone Cadets and ARC Troopers are. I'd prefer to keep the trilogy together. I know time passes between them, but so what? There are considerable lengths of time separating all the Star Wars films, and most TCW arcs don't feature a clear passage of time like that so letting it happen once is just fine by me. As long as the featured clones aren't in preceding episodes, I think it would be a good idea to place that arc right at the end of the episodes that use the old character models, right before the first episode that uses the new ones, to make the passage of time more relevant to the story. Like others have mentioned, having all 5 Mandalore episodes in subsequent order feels awkward, there needs to be something in between the trilogy and the duo. I like to think Trespass happened before Ahsoka came into the picture, so I might make that the first episode of the series to keep all the Christophsis stuff together (as long as it doesn't have interactions between Anakin and Yularen). I agree that it would seem to make the most sense for Bounty Hunters to be the first chronological visit to Felucia. Those are the biggest things that stick out at the moment.

That's funny! I feel the same way about Trespass!! Its a good "buddy" episode, and Obi-Wan and Anakin perform regular Jedi duty. A good follow-up is Cat & Mouse and The Hidden Enemy, both good "buddy" episodes. (And I don't remember Yularen at all.)
