You will be missed, it was always fun reading your posts. Don't be a stranger and when you get the itch to come back to the league we will be here, waiting.

You know I just find a nice hole and seclude myself during the offseason stuff because I am no good at organizing and doing stuff like that

If you don't want to do that on your team, you don't have to. Heck, you don't even have to talk about contracts. You can just tell me who you're releasing to the free agent market or signing as a free agent just because a couple rules apply there. This game is designed to be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Just because I choose to write myself into a corner with eight expiring contracts doesn't mean that you have to even think about your contract lengths.

And I hate to say this JM, but I've thought up the most evil draft post that I possibly could do. It involves your beloved Tide. Who are very much not my beloved Tide. And I might even do it with the draft pick you traded me with, insult to injury! [face_skull]

Go ahead I'm really not a Bama fan I just didn't want Notre Dame to loose. But hey whatever works for you I'll still take down the Champs next season[face_devil]

At the risk of going English major on you (something my job now allows me to indulge), I'm thinking that you've got an inadvertant double negative in there. Did you want Notre Dame to win?

    Wait . . . hold up . . .

You got a job with an English major?

Perhaps my history major will be worth something after all. :p Perhaps the League office is hiring?

Shockingly yes, I am actually primarily writing in my current employment.

Which is still just a temp job but they really love me. ;)

Temp jobs are a major avenue for employment these days. And I know a few English majors who wish they could get a job in that field, so you're lucky.

Anyways, I digress. Looks like I have a lot of offseason stuff to do.

It's not allowed in here and Ramza will not be happy if I answer that question. I think you can discuss it in The Arena if you like.

Yes. I am surprised at the lack of any trades thus far in this year's draft. It seems so much quieter than last year's, even with all the drunk Mandos around. :p

If Trieste had traded his two first rounders for my Number 3 pick, I was going to have the Hall erupt into a full scale riot. :p

It's hard to trade when you didn't get any offers for the pick. :p

But I agree about a lack of trades. Maybe we were just anxious last season about it being the first draft and caused a trade frenzy?

I think you may be right Gunny, I know last season I was eager to make a trade just to say I had done it. :p

And Draft trades are, in my opinion, easier to pull off than regular player/contract trades because we don't really have established financial terms and a system in place that might allow us to evaluate talent like you could in RL to determine the worth of the trade pieces against each other.

Draft picks have roughly equal weight (in terms of it still being an unnamed player, but not an established one), so it's easier to trade them. All that needs to be figured out is fair market value.
