So, as has been my nerdy aim for a couple years, I have an audition for Jeopardy! on February 21st.

Help me learn all of the knowledge before then. Rocky style montages of me learning every world capital, etc.

I'm also going to need some exceedingly boring personal stories, as is the show's tradition.

Congrats, but you needed to start studying a year or two before you submitted your application. By studying, I mean studying 9-10 hours a day, every day, no work, no play.

But, if you make it onto the show, let me know and I will root for you!! Too bad it's not Millionaire, I could be your phone buddy for an answer.

Ken Jennings is the man. And yeah, I actually have studied and watched the show every day for a couple years. And I lettered in Varsity Scholar Bowl three time in hs, which I'm pretty sure makes me an expert.

And Tunes, mostly I rest assured that no one on earth could be as bad at Jeopardy! as Wolf Blitzer. No one.

I've taken the online test a couple times. They don't tell you what you've scored or if it's high enough to qualify you for an audition, it just puts you in a pool for 18 months. They contacted me this week to say I'd been selected from that pool to audition. The letter says: "That will consist of playing a “mock version” of Jeopardy! to assess your game-playing skills, a short personality interview, and being re-tested with a new 50-question test. If you pass all the requirements to become a contestant you will be entered into the contestant pool for one year"

The hardest part for me is probably: " Come dressed as you might for an actual appearance on the show."

I'm not used to having to wear anything but jeans or sweatpants.

Awesome! Congrats, Rachel. I remember your past posts about trying to get into the contestant pool.

I'm convinced that doing well at Jeopardy is more about being fast on the buzzer than knowing all the answers.

Do one of your rubbing shoulders with celebrities stories. Any of those would be good.

Oh, and if you do get on the show and do better than Blitzer, under your final Jeopardy answer you must put '-sj loves kevin spacey'.

Ken Jennings agrees....most contestants know most of the answers, so answering first is critical.
