    The summary repeatedly conflates the "galaxy" with the Tython system -- she's "keeping order across the galaxy" (yeah, right)... the dark matter thingy would "consume the entire star system", which is apparently the same as "galactic annihilation" in the next sentence...
    Add to that the "beyond the reaches of known space" and you get one huge terminological snarl that I dare anybody to try to unravel... 8-}

    The excerpt in Scoundrels looks very interesting. We didn't have much to go on for expectations before that, but I think it's safe to say now that it looks like it could have real promise.

    They're rather gray in comparison with their successors. No surprise here

    What about when Luke sends out the Jedi to assassinate the Sith on Coruscant?

    Weren't they holding an entire planet hostage?

    Were they? I know they had taken over the planet by posing as officials and Luke sent jedi out to publicly murder them with minimal lip service to 'jedi take people alive', one message of 'Surrender or Die' is not enough, especially when sent anonymously.

    But back to the topic at hand.

    When is this story set?

    a) nice cover.

    b) did anyone else notice that the Hollywood.com article revealing the cover called Into the Void "the first of the Dawn of the Jedi novels"? So... is that just uninformed phrasing or are there more to come? [face_thinking]

    I noticed a while ago that the Wook also lists Into the Void as part of a series of DOTJ books. I thought their source was kinda ambiguous on the matter, so no idea if Hollywood.com is going by that or a more official source. [face_thinking]

    I hadn't read the comics and wasn't overly interested.

    Then I read the preview in Scoundrels.

    Oh indeed what our the chances this lives up to the comics in diversity. I have counted 3 White Males, 2 White Females, 1 Black Male, 1 Black Female, 1 Indian Male and 1 Asian Male. Now not as good as I would like it but that is an excellent in star wars.

    Ok which one is Xesh?

    He looks kind of white, but the king of anime white, which is to say ambiguous.

    Also I was trying to get a joke about Xesh being the Kyle Katarn of DotJ.

    But does not seem to be catching

    It's not like you can just fill out an application to be the next Kyle Katarn. There is only one.
