This could either be awesomely hilarious, or eye-rollingly awful.

Hopefully the former, but it just depends how good the poet is as there aren't many who write traditional verse traditionally these days, so it could feel so forced it reads like school work, or not be proper iambic verse at all.

Either way, I'll buy this in the hopes it keeps me entertained. :p

Leia! Leia! Wherefore art thou Princess Leia!

I hope this isn't the book they were on about. A massive disappointment if it is.

"A book you had no idea existed"

A fitting description haha. We still have Crucible, Kenobi and Sword of the Jedi though.

    Is this for real?
Of all the books that could have been written...

Is the author a known poet?
Is the book in a form of a play?

If so, I'll start looking for actors right away. I've got a stage. I'm sure there's someone who can get the props. The scenery we'll paint or print out life-sized posters from the movies. I'll direct. This should be good :p

So, assuming they use the grammatical reversals typical of older poetry, does that mean that in the interest of classical pentameter everyone will end up talking like Yoda? :p

Fall, I shall not ever, to the dark side,
Turn me, Vader won't; I am a Jedi.

I know, I know, it's probably got more trochees than iambs, but I'm not exactly trying here. :p

I also hope this wasn't the new book they were talking about, but it still sounds cool.

Wonder no more what Yoda's race is called,
for surely 'tis called Shaxpyr; or the Bards.

I love how ten pages of post spawned for a book that we have no clue about.

That's because this is a book we know we don't know about, not a book we don't know we don't know about. That's the beauty of known unknowns rather than unknown unknowns. :-B

Very cool that they're willing to experiment, but let's just say there's a high chance of it turning out less than awesome.

Of course, that assumes that that's true at all. Which until we get more reliable word it isn't. Internet, y'know, it's out to trick you at every turn.

And it was already leaked that this unknown novel will be about the Battle of Hoth.

Shakespeare could do a great chronicle of the Battle of Hoth, assuming it was from Dak's point of view. He could stick a doomed love story and a descent into madness somewhere in there.

Why the raised eye brow? Brain Candy... A book that doesn't really teach you anything, that doesn't progress your career, or help in a class. It tastes good and makes you want more but eat to much and you get brain fat... I am brain fat... I
