Is it the Transformers films or TV programme?

 

I'm chilling as well.

It's Transformers: Generation One, the TV program from the 80s. I'm a Transformers purist... not a big fan of the films.

 

I love the 80s version!
I grew up with the reruns later on though.

I'm not a huge fan of the films either, other than the fact the Transformers look realistic, which was sort of magical and cool at first, but not so much as it goes on. The story and writing take away from a great potential.

 

I consider the 1986 animated movie far superior to the modern films.

Watching Gravity Falls now. Quite humorous.

 

I've yet to watch that... It's been recommended to me about 4 times now.

The most I've seen is a gnome vomiting rainbows, and Mabel on a sugar rush.

 

Seems we're both playing trivia at the moment.

And is it bad that I've never seen anything Transformers related? Not even the new movies...

 

Skip the new movies... watch Generation 1.

 

Yeah I've heard the new movies are bad...just visual effects eye candy with a not very interesting plot. Is Generation 1 an animated series?

 

Yep... Generation 1 is based upon the original toy line. Great characters and a stellar story.

If you ask me, Transformers: Prime is an excellent way to get into the franchise. I mean, it's how I got introduced to TF.
