Neither Happy NOR Venting-Just stuff!

Just set up my tree a few days ago:

 

I'm a Pepper...you're a Pepper...he's a Pepper...

Uh, is there a tradition you're upholding there, Krahl?

 

Possibly a new tradition. Originally, I couldn't afford a tree, so I was just going to build a Dr. Pepper tower. But my roommate's mom bought us a little four-foot one and, since we didn't have ornaments, we decorated it with the cans we were saving for the tower.

After all that time off, it's hard to get back to work.

 

I think the older you get the faster time flies. I agree w/ FF I think it's hard to get back to a normal work week. For me in accounting I have so much to do with closing one year and opening another that I really could use more days or something.

It's the best month since it was the one I was born in!

 

February is worst. January is a close sesond.

 

Why February ? At least it's a short month

 

It's short on the calendar, but it's perceptually the longest. It's typically the dreariest, greyest weather without actually doing anything interesting. That horrible Valentine's Day is in the middle of it, I turn another year older during it, the shine is all gone from New Year's, and there are fewer days in the month to earn money to pay the same amount of bills as other months.

 

Now I'm depressed about next month.

I've been needing more bookcases for the last 5 years. Today it looks like I'm finally going to get them; found a set on craigslist that looks like it will be good. They're 6ft tall, 2ft wide. The guy has several and I can't decide whether to get 2 or 3. Three will take up more space than I'd like - my house isn't big, and these will have to go in my bedroom - but I'm tempted to take advantage of the fact that they are a matched set. Sometime later, when I have more space, I might appreciate the opportunity to have more of a matched set.

Now I just have to pray that the many boxes of textbooks, binders and other books haven't mildewed too badly up in my storage shed over the last 5 years.
