ST Get In Line - A Social Countdown to Episode VII

Yeah, we could use some of that warm weather right now. It's currently 11 degrees outside with a wind chill below 0.

This is why I hate winter. Thankfully, we haven't had any big snowstorms so far. But still, I either need to move south or move out west.

 

I live in the south and it's freakin' freezing here! 18 degrees when I went to work this morning!

 

Sorry, Jaina! If I ever did move, I'm leaning more towards the west. I fell in love with the climate of SoCal while I was on vacation out there a couple of years ago. Plus, it would probably benefit me career-wise.

But again, that's a big "if" at this point.

 

The winters are mild here but summers are long and brutal. Triple digit heat, humidity in the 80th and 90th percentile, "code orange" air quality. The expression "it's too hot to go to the pool" is pretty common here.

I'd rather take the cold winter if I could have a mild summer; I feel like I can always put on more clothes but I can't take off but so many without getting arrested.

 

I saw it the other night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I have to lol when people say it's one of the worst Arnie films they've ever seen. Have they seen half of the ****y/campy movies he did in the 80s?

Plus, this had Peter Stormare and Johnny Knoxville.

 

No idea what you all are talking about. But, my ignorance of pop culture is so astounding that I won two rounds of Shelf of Shame.

 

Trust me, Tunes, there's plenty of ridiculous action and cheesy one-liners. The action scenes are pretty good too. Just a nice, almost pulpy film.

 

I am a rain fan. It's my natural environment, being from Kamino Eire. The wildflowers in AZ/NV/NM are rather something to witness when there is a good spring. The US desert region can be lovely.

 

Personally while I definitely have ideas about story elements and things I'd like and dislike to see just like I had during the prequels, once the film starts all those ideas will disappear from my thoughts and I'll simply sit back and enjoy the story! If I like the story and think the characters are well written it really won't matter to me if it goes against what I thought the story should be. In the end I just want a great new Star Wars film!

 

You should head down Baltimore Ave into the city limits. It's like 5 degrees warmer in here.
