Speculation Hayden Christiansen now sporting a beard...possible involvement?

I heard Ford bought tic-tacs. Possible involvement?

 

This just in: Hayden Christiansen and Jake Lloyd are apparently unable to grow real beards.

 

Did you seriously write that title and create this topic thinking this was somehow linked to the new Star Wars movies?
I mean, really, seriously, did you?

While I like the idea that Luke (and only Luke) would commune with his dead father, played by Hayden Christensen, having Anakin appear with a beard would be oxymoronic to Hayden as Anakin ghost and just plain morionic in general. The reason Hayden works as Anakin as Force ghost is because it was at that point in Anakin's life in which he "died." Obviously he didn't have a beard when he died therefor it makes little sense that he would suddenly decide to grow one in the afterlife.

I chalk this speculation up in the same category as the whole "Darth Vader to return in Episode 7" tabloid rumor, that is to say total garbage.

 

So little. I did write "Just playing devil's advocate."

It's also important to note that he apparently hydrates himself properly.

All actors with beards will be in the ST.

 

I still cant believe he gets to go home to Bilson every day. Its a travesty. Even though she's a bit weathered nowadays, but i blame him.

There's your answer. And why would Hayden having a beard have anything to do with him returning as Anakin as a force ghost? Anakin was clean shaven.

Ewan McGregor sporting the Obi-Wan beard and comeover though for the first time in 7 years might mean something. You never know.

"Yeah we can grow beards in the Netherworld. It's pretty flippin' cool."

 

If Obi-Wan Kenobi can come back in a full-fledged body, then force ghosts can grow beards!

Seriously though, Ewan's look would be more likely to mean something...

The ghostly length of ghostly Obi-Wan's ghostly beard did vary between installments, so Force ghosts do ghostly groom their ghostly beards.

 

This is a huge development.

 

We can let Hayden use a prosthetic beard. He's having trouble working this one.

 

Just CGI the beards on every single character and call it good. I remember in the 3SA forum a few months before III would be released there was a thread dedicated to just putting beards on characters in the PT who normally didn't have them. Padme had a beard too. It was awesome.

 

LOL I suppose if there's no other juicy news to bite into, then this is all we got!!

 

I watched a production blog for The Hobbit before it was released...one of the segments was all about how they inserted digital beards onto Some of the characters-there was actually a whole department just for the beards!!

 

Okay, this actually brings up a great question, tho a bit off topic: why did force-ghost Anakin have both limbs? One can argue why he still has legs (he reverted to the last pure form of Anakin or whatever)...but He lost his arm TEN years before he became Vader! Can robotic arms become force ghosts?

Maybe SW 7 will be about R2-D2's force ghost.

I am kinda curious as to what the movie Hayden is growing his beard out for will be like. Nicolas Cage is apparently co-starring in it with him and it's supposed to be a Chinese co-production.
