ah. To be honest I didn't even realize there was a split. I had to look up the school to see on which side of the divide it was on.

It really gives her a sense of focus and discipline. It also shows her how much her hard works pays off and is great excercise. Always fun to see our little girl come home all sweated up after sparring.

 

That's why I love teaching it, seeing the kids learning so much and then they see us (the other black belts and I) and realise that they can do it too... with a lot of time, patience, and perseverance, of course.

 

Oh you teach it as well? My daughter says she wants to teach Tae Kwon Do eventually too! Of course she also says she wants to be a princess...

 

I'm an assistant instructor - any black belt in our club can be - and I could take a test and be a full instructor but... eh. Not around enough to be worth it. If her club's anything like mine there should be lots of opportunities should she want to help teach down the road

 

That day is a long way off.

 

I was in Tae Kwon Do a while back. Got to within one test of my brown belt, then quit

That would be arther difficult as I have forbade her to date until she is 35.

 

Ah. Me and ewoks have the same stipulation for our daughter...though I believe ours is 40.

Funny thing is I've had 3 girlfriends in my life but have only been on one date. And that wasn't even my girlfriend

Indeed. I know how I was when I was younger. Scares me to death my little girl meeting someone like that.

 

That's why you have her enrolled in taekwondo so she can take those guys down
