Abrams doesn't hates the CGIz. And he referenced TPM's "always a bigger fish" moment in Star Trek.

 

Abrams could develop a time travel storyline where someone is sent back in time to murder all the post-ROTJ EU authors. Can't step all over something that never happened.

 

Seems like if it was REAL and a DONE DEAL, StarWars.Com would want to get some buzz and hits off it, and POST IT

There is nothing wrong with "slick, shiny and new" - especially when everyone and their Aunt Rita are making gritty and dirty.

Super 8 looked and felt like E.T. and The Goonies.

Abrams is more than capable of of making Episode VII look just like the others. And he will.

Abrams' work I've seen: Regarding Henry, Forever Young, Gone Fishin', Armageddon, Mission Impossible III, Cloverfield, Star Trek, Alias, Lost.

Not a fan of any of it.

Michael Arndt's work I've seen: Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3.

Not bad, but not a fan.

Not excited by the choices.

 

There is Star Trek EU.

He dumped the canon. He was rebooting Star Trek back to when it was great, not the SyFy movie Trek.

 

What about J.J. Abram's good habits?

1. Great character development
2. Creating mysteries and mythology
3. Working with the brilliant composer Michael Giacchino on most of his projects

 

StarWars.com sucks. It has for years.

 

How can anyone NOT like Regarding Henry!!!

 

Such a shame, because when it had the Hyperspace fanclub, blogs, and message boards it was actually a pretty awesome site. I don't know why they decided to throw that away in order to have a much smaller site with less content...

But maybe with the rise of Episode VII it will get another revamp and start to build up a lot more content on it.

At least its not Joel Schumacker or Tim Burton who would have put Elena Bonham Carter everywhere he could have in the film...

I think he is a Junior Spielberg in the making, ultimately he is gonna have a huge responsibility on his back and i hope he does not crack. The original trilogy was hard on all the directors then..

 

why does everyone think there is going to be millions of lens flares when this is a separate movie?

 

If its TRUE what does it do for Star Trek, it would put the 3rd on HOLD unless they get someone new and i doubt they would want to wait more than 3 years for Star Trek 3.
