Speculation Leia should turn to the Dark Side after Han's Death

How about Leia kills Han as part of her initiation into the Dark Side?

 

How about they both sacrifice themselves ala Jin and Sun in Lost?

I don't accept the EU.

 

If Han is to be killed, I'd like to see Leia pissed & all, possibly even tempted to turn to the dark side but actually doing it? Nah.

 

Then you don't accept 99% of Star Wars.

 

I accept G-Canon and that's it.

 

Well, it seems George is only contributing the treatments to the ST, so will you accept that?

When George's contributions stop, you're done with the franchise?

 

Oh I get the poetry rhyming structure. But I see it forming up differently.

I see it like:
PT = Palply planning everything, turning the galaxy to the darkside. Anakin, representing the soul of the Galaxy.

OT = Palply and Luke fighting for Anakin and the Galaxy's soul. Luke wins.

ST = Luke planning everything, turning the galaxy to the lightside. Perhaps Anakin in ghost mode, minimally teaching Luke. OR: Anakin goes to the netherworld and saves the other Jedi. Offspring, taking over the reins.

So it's more like Palpy, Anakin /// Palpy, Anakin, Luke /// Luke, Anakin.

I see the ST as mirroring the PT but in for the lightside. Luke is the anti-palpy. He'll set everything in motion to return the galaxy to the lightside. I see Leia as the classic mother role; mother to the Jedi offspring, and mother to the New Republic. I see Luke as a mix of Gandalf the White, the White Knight on a grail quest, and Merlin looking for and protecting his King Arthur. In this case, perhaps, a real king like figure, who can lead the people. Democratically, speaking of course.\

Or we could get other symbolism/rhythm ... The Father (PT), The Son (OT), and the Holy Ghost (ST). In Gnostic literature, the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit was feminine, which could either be Leai, or the Offspring.

 

Perhaps with Disney in control of the franchise, we should rename G-Canon to D-Canon.

 

Would you rather see Luke or Plagueis take over the galaxy?

I know I can't get on board with clone Palpatines and everyone and their brother turning to the dark side.

 

To be fair, he really doesn't have to. We don;t even know if the EU will b in tact by the tie this next film comes out. Mind you this is coming form a fan of the EU. If he doesn't want to acknowledge the issue then as of now there is no reason for him to. If the films added it all in then he is in trouble, but right now it is still fair game.

 

It is unthinkable that Solo could die. Not even in a freak hairdressing accident.

 

Don't bet money on him living if Ford comes back for the films. Not saying it is a guarantee, but he did want them to kill him off in the OT. Why do you think they threw him in carbonite in ESB?

I don't know about this.

When I wrote my 'treatment' for an imaginary Sequel Trilogy about 10 years ago, I thought that Leia (as Chancellor) would be assassinated, for which Han would blame the Jedi (mainly Luke) and disappear alongside Chewie on the Falcon.

The pair would return in the second movie, with Han being a little insane, and they would sacrificethemselves for the new heroes of the ST by crashing the Falcon into an enemy ship. The new heroes would have been Kyle Katarn and Corran Horn BTW.

 

You talked to him? So he went back on what he said a couple months ago about having interest in returning? If Ford doesn't return then the character should not be in the films. At that point go ahead and say he is dead. In all seriousness though how can you have such certainty on him not returning when there is no evidence to say he will either way?

 

He was rumoured to be actually interested.
