I think Eminence has a pretty memorable soundtrack. First off there's the Death Watch battle theme, introduced in A Friend In Need last season and used again in the Nal Hutta fight sequence, which sounds really epic. I think it feels quite Star Wars-y. Also of note is when the Mandalorian ships were touching down on Mustafar, that musical motif was pretty good, and when they're transporting Maul and Savage back to their camp at the beginning. And who can forget the constant whispers throughout that were an iconic part of Maul's soundtrack in Phantom Menace.

The whispers are really cool and make the connection with the saga stronger, love that. I hadn't picked up on any Death Watch battle theme, I'm gonna have to go back to check that out, thanks for the tip.

If you have the iTunes version, it starts at 14:46 when they run out onto the landing pad. In A Friend In Need it starts when Artoo deploys his distraction dance just as Vizsla says "It's justice!" Cue epic battle music.

I think Kevin Kiner needs to get down with the kids and put some dubstep into future episodes of TCW.

Kiner's music in the latest episode, notably

the Maul vs. Vizsla duel and Bo-Katan's betrayal

was a cut above what we normally hear.

The music used from the start of the duel until Bo escaped was excellent. It really make the scene for Vizsla's execution, particularly when Bo reacted. Seems Bo was in love with him which gave the moment some unexpected heart.

Most of the music on the show is forgetable, but it still has a few nice pieces. Some of my favourites:

    - Ventress theme (especially in Cloak of Darkness)
    - Death Watch theme
    - Vizsla's battle theme
    - Bo-Katan's betrayal
    - Satine's theme
    - Mortis theme
    - Aurra Sing's theme
    - Obi-Wan & Ventress vs Nightbrothers/Maul vs Vizsla
    - Taking the Senate
    - Obi-Wan vs Grievous/Anakin vs Ventress in Arc Troopers

I was again impressed with the score in "Lawless". Particularly when Maul comes out of the smoke of when Satine dies. Also during the big duel at the end. =)

    Yeah! Emperor's Theme FTW!

They mixed it in with the Imperial March, but I didn't mind that this time. For once, it was used for a character other than Anakin and had the good old Emperor's Theme to compensate.

Overall, Kiner's work on the Mauldalore arc has been quite good.

This clip features a new variation on the Republic Military theme. Very cinematic.

Kevin Kiner first blew me away with the Death Watch dirge in season two, and then anything and everything involving witches and horned men. Like the drums of an ancient hunt out for your blood. Put out an album already!

And the orchestral score for the most recent episode was wonderful, especially during the prologue. Looking forward to more of that for sure.

Sabotage did have a great score. The opening action sequence featured one of his better themes from TCW film towards the start, a John Williams theme during, and then another TCW film theme when the action ends right before Ahsoka and Anakin start talking again. The words it takes to say that do not do its impact justice. I freaking love it. Then in one of the Jedi Council scenes he also hearkens back to a TCW film theme seldom used since. The original music for a lot of the investigating fit perfectly as well.

I really liked the fast pasted kinda electric track that played when Ahsoka was going after Letta.

I'm beginning to regret never seeing the TCW film if the music at least partially compensates for some of its lesser qualities.

No, you're not. The film is horrific.

There is no compensating for it's worse moments.

I'm as critical of TCW film as the next person, but the music is much more thematic and similar to John Williams than most of TCW series. I love Kevin Kiner's original parts that are in the show's opening theme, and there's a lot of stuff like that in there.
