imo follow the same formula as the OT.....new, fresh faces coupled with and elder statesman(woman) or two.
Its Star Wars.......When ST arrives, I want to see the characters on the screen...not the actors

Forgetting the fact that I want to see a few familiar faces back in action, ie Hammil etc

 

I still stand by my opinion that Kit Harrington should be in the Star Wars movie; too bad it will probably never happen.



Either way I photoshopped some lightsabers into a scene of his from Game of Thrones, I guess this is as close as I'm going to get.

John Noble - elder crazy jedi...maybe hidden out since order 66 or something...much more likely now with JJ's involvement


James Scott - Would make a very good Imperial(or ST equivalent) officer, does "angry" well...

John Noble as an Imperial Moff or Diplomat... come on, you know that'd be a cool role for him.

 

Unfortunately, Mel Gibson has escaped the penalty box from time to time.

I would love to see cameos from celebrities who like Star Wars and have referenced it in the pop culture they created. Most notably would be seth green and seth mcfarlane.

 

Paul Bettany.

 

Dustin Diamond as a Gungan.

 

Nic Cage as the voices of Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2, and Jar Jar.

Brandon Gleeson is in everything these days, so why not Star Wars as well?

 

I think you misspelled "Benedict Cumberbatch." Let's face it, Cumberbatch will be in a Star Wars movie. He will be for the 10s what Bruce Spence was in the 00s: the giant franchise hat trick.

 

Curses! And my spelling is always so good! Oh woe is me!

 

I really want to see Elle Fanning in something. Since there's rumor that the new entourage of characters will be younger, and possibly female, I think she would do a great job. Plus, J. J. Abrams worked with her in Super 8. That's my two cents.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Kyle Chandler or Joel Courtney in a star wars role.

 

Rooney Mara as Jaina? No thanks. She was dull as hell in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

At the risk of sounding like a bandwagoner, Jennifer Lawrence as the female lead (whether she's a Solo or a Skywalker or what have you). She's fantastic and I think she'd suit Star Wars to a tee (and she might get to show off her humor, unlike in Hunger Games where she's pretty serious most of the time.) I'm not sure she'd do it, though, since she seems to want to stick to indies and was reluctant to accept the role of Katniss because of the size of the movie.

I also think Idris Elba had a really Star Wars vibe in Prometheus, so I could easily see him in some role or another in the Sequel Trilogy.
