Discussion Catering for Episode VII

    A discussion this vital was inevitable, so I decided I should at least begin it on the proper track...

    The craft services department for the Prequels clearly served foods high in trans fats as we can see a progression in weight on characters such as Palpatine/Sidious from the original shooting schedule of episode 3 through the pick-up shots which took place a year or so later. Who should cater the new films so we have proper weight continuity in the new films?

    I wish we could get the caterer back from the OT. He brought such a film noir feeling to the... uh, meals.

    But yeah, everything about the prequel catering was offensive and rapey.

    If the actors had been given more nutritous, well-balanced meals, the acting may have been more up to our standards. They were probably exhausted on set from such carb-heavy meals.

    Plus they probably had scurvy from George not letting them eat real fruit. There's no vitamin C in that floating CGI fruit!

    Don't derail. This is a serious topic. Ian McDiarmid put on 30 pounds from one camera angle to the next when Anakin was confronting him. We all care very deeply about Carrie Fisher's weight (as it is brought up many times daily) as well as Mark Hamill's issues with bloating. We need to decide the best eating options for the crew and submit our decision to LFL before it's too late for our opinion to change anything.

    The catering cart will contain only food approved by a certified dietician, maybe even vegan only. It will have a Weight Watcher points label on everything served.

    Once Carrie and Mark get out of their current funk, hop on the treadmill and get into shape, there is no way they will risk a return to the chunk.
