So a while back I had a thread that got locked because it turned into basically a Maxim thread for hot actresses. But it was immensely popular. This thread is a poll for the top actress from that thread for Star Wars fans to vote on. Lets get a feel for who is the most popular here at TFN ? Multiple votes work. And if you vote none of these, you are voting out Carrie too.

What Actresses would you like to see in Episode VII ?
Pictures in the rare chance you don't know who they are.

    Carrie Fisher

I agree, I think Emma Stone is a wonderful comedic actress but i'd prefer not to see any of the Hollywood set making an appearance.
I'd prefer they pull someone from the indie leagues, rather than just drag out the latest hot actress so teen boys have something to vacillate over.

You ought to add Anna Torv on that list. She just finished Fringe and is an Abrams alumni. It wouldn't surprise me to see her in Episode VII and I think she'd be a good choice for a strong female Jedi role.

I like all those young actresses. But there's no way I would ever choose them to be in a Star Wars movie above Carrie Fisher.

I had to draw the line somewhere, and these were the major favorites from 33 pages of a previous thread. I should have included the option of "Cast Unknowns" as well. As there seems to be that view too.
I can't edit the poll after it has started.
But even within that opinion, there is a diverse opinion, if they currently don't have an IMDb profile in 2013, to me they don't qualify.
But maybe they have some light TV experience so they are still relatively unknown.
To me this movie is too important to risk it on somebody who has NEVER acted even on TV.
I mean if they have no green/blue screen experience, forget it. The payoff of getting a fresh face is not worth the risk to me.
Plus there are hundreds of excellent actresses that would love to audition for this movie, let the best one win it in audition.

I still need Dame Helen Mirren or Dame Judi Dench as a lightsaber wielding badass. We've had a lot of Sirs in the Saga, now its time for a Dame of Doom.

You don't have too, you can vote for 1 or all. Multiple voting is allowed, because I knew some would pick Carrie and maybe one other.

Where is the Maxim page...I loved that page. Yes to Carrie, and why not put them all in the film in some way. There should be enough parts for all these chicks.

It's early yet in the voting but a couple thing surprise me, Chloe in second outvoting Summer, and some not wanting Carrie Fisher in it.
To those I would ask are you voting this way because you want a younger cast of everybody; Luke, Leia and Han all recast to younger roles?
Or you want Mark Hamil but not Carrie ?
Then again they could be voting for Carrie and none of these, as the poll allows for this.

why isn't Zoë Saldana on that list? She played Uhura in Abrams' Star Trek and I thought she was great.

Lando's Little Maneuver suggested Noomi Rapace, which isn't a bad choice. She didn't quite strike me as an action heroine in Prometheus, but she did carry the movie pretty well.

Agreed. Also, I think it's much more effective if, when we're watching the movie, we're not constantly thinking "OK, that's just Emma Stone." I felt that way a bit with the PT, where I couldn't accept Padmé as a character because all I could see was Natalie Portman (same with Liam Neeson for Qui-Gon).

Besides Carrie I wouldn't mind seeing Rooney Mara in a role? I love what she did in TGWTDT. I was a huge fan of the novels, and didn't care too much for the Swedish movie trilogy, so I was skeptical when she was cast in the us version. I give her credit in how she played that character.

I seriously considered putting her on the list, but she already has 2 major movie series she is working on. (X-men & Hunger games) I thought a third would be too much.
