The next time we see Maul he will have a double lightsaber, persumably Savage's.

    Bank on it.

I doubt that. surely he'd want to recreate his own, or add another half onto it.
Maybe some crazy brother sabre, half and half.

im sure ive missed it - but any reason why they took away maul v.2's best feature (his new legs to match the comic)?
wouldve been a good question to ask at the google+, not that it woulda been answered :(

Maybe a lot easier to animate with normal legs, though Grievous has similar legs I suppose.
Maybe he was too close to Grievous' amazingness so they gave him regular boring legs.

Ah yes, I have wondered about that: Isn't it the Jedi who forbid attachments since they can lead to the Dark Side?

Thus, shouldn't the Sith actually encourage attachments?

(in b4 some EU writer see's this and in the next SW novel we learn Sidious is secretly a family man with a wife and 4 kids) :p

The Sith also discourage attachment because it leads to mercy. Both sides see it as a weakness.

Nah, that was Palpatine's whole motivation, for Anakin and Padme to live happily ever after.

Anyone else want Maul to get his other metal legs back? I reckon they looked way cooler than the ones he got now.

I prefer the humanoid legs. It seemed kind of weird that he had humanoid legs that were cut off, then the Dark Side decided that he was a spider, and then Talzin decided that he needed bird feet, before Vizsla's droids had enough sense to maybe... give him humanoid legs again?

Why does he even need pants - there's nothing down under anyway.

Talzin has BS magic. She could have made him a mechanical and functional one (hopefully not the case). It's probably more of a bird cloaca, since she apparently got the leg anatomy completely wrong too.

I don't know, Anakin was really attached to Padme even after turning Vader. But again, Vader isn't really the prime example of a Sith, or even a Jedi for that matter.

Having a family whom a Sith fights for would IMO give him more passion to draw upon, thus fueling his connection to the Dark Side. We have all heard stories of 110 lbs mothers lifting wooden poles and rocks to save their babies trapped underneath, imagine that kind of passion being fueled by the Dark Side of the Force inside of a fully trained Dark Lord of the Sith.

I guess it depends on the kind of Sith you are...some might view attachments as a source of strenght, others view it as a weakness. The movies never make the official stance of Sith on attachments clear; the Jedi OTOH are clearly stated to demand no attachments at all from their members, apart from the ones between Master and Padawan. ("learn to let go of those you hold dear, miss them not when they become one with the Force etc etc" )
