Abrams will take advantage of the twin suns of tatooine to attwmpt a double lense flare

 

More like it was never a problem to begin with until some anal nitpickers, who apparently struggle with OCD, started harping on it.

 

Peter Gibbons: What's lens flare?
Joanna: Oh, it's uh...it's where you know like the...the suspenders and buttons are all sort of...We're actually required to wear um...fifteen pieces of lens flare. Quite stupid actually.
Peter Gibbons: Do you get to pick 'em yourself?
Joanna: Yeah. Yeah. We do. Although I didn't actually choose these. I, um, I just sorta grabbed fifteen buttons and just...I don't even know what they say! Y'know, I don't really care. I don't really like talking about my lens flare.

(I'm not familiar enough with Abrams to get the whole lens flare thing, but I guess this fits?)

 

This just in... John Williams has signed on to do the score and is creating the lense flare motif.

 

Think "Force Push" but instead a lens flare emanates from the Force user's palm, blinding the opponent.

 

I was thinking more like Jazz Hands.......

Link me to the sceenes of Lens Flares from Star Trek 2009 cause I don't remember any & it had no effect on my enjoyment of the movie what so ever .

 

There were a lot, but it didn't hinder my ability to enjoy it either. Abrams just picked a style he thought would work for Star Trek, and in my opinion it did, it worked very well.

 

It would be easier if you watch it again.

Here's a hint: basically look at any shot in the movie. If there's not a lens flare, you probably put in Wrath of Khan accidentally.

There's going to be so much lens flare during the opening crawl that there will have to be subtitles.

 

I re-watched Mi:I III last night and mother of God, the lens flares. Then I watched Ghost Protocol (which Abrams was not director but still a big part of the creative aspect). Not surprisingly I preferred Brad Bird's direction.

 

Here's the first 11 minutes of Star Trek 2009, unaltered. It's hard to count but, I'm guessing about 75-100..
