Amph Game Of Thrones (uh i guess it's done now? Edit: No!)

I was just thinking that I need to rewatch seasons 1 and 2 before 3 starts. I prefer the blu rays because so beautiful. But I'll have to use HBO Go for series 2. Like Guy, I rely on my parents' account for that.

 

There was one moment where I felt just a kernel of sympathy for him and that was when the Hound abandons him in "Blackwater". He just looked so lost that his dog was going away. Didn't last long, though.

If you do find... alternative ways to watch, you'd have plenty of company. Most of 2012.

Thanks for the info. - this is good to know. However, I plan on waiting to read the books because I want to be genuinely surprised as I watch the show. If I read the books now, they will probably give away many plot points.

 

There is very little overlap from one book to another as far as the show is concerned. Season 1 covered pretty much the entire first book, with only Arya's last scene being taken from book 2. Season 2 also works the same way, but with the White Walker attack and the beginning of the Brienne/Jaime's epic road trip of awesomeness being taken from book 3.

 

I wonder how they are going to deal with the aging of the younger stars? Someone was telling me that they've already begun filming scenes from the other books to help with this, but don't know if that's true or not.

 

as timmoishere said, that probably wouldn't happen since there is very little overlap. at the very least you could read the first two books without any trouble at this point. i doubt you'd make it through them before season three started.

 

I suppose the show could depict more time passing than the books do.

 

They started already a few years older than they were in the books, and each book (except FFC/DWD) takes place within about a year. Although Storm of Swords will be split into two seasons, it doesn't look like the actors are going to outpace their characters by much.

 

I didn't want to start a thread on this since it is uknown exactly what this is but Martin has signed some deal to make new projects with HBO

I am hoping for Wildcards.

Honestly I think if we tried the Misery approach he'd just start killing everyone to spite us. Everyone would be dead by the second page. Then he'd spend the rest of the book making us like a new character only to have them burnt by a dragon and then swallowed by a kraken.
