Haven't seen the episode and this is just spec, but I wonder if Palps (and the writers) use for Maul, will be to have him as Canon fodder for Anakin to kill, Sort of building him up, proving himself, besides it also gives a Sith Lord for him to kill since he can't kill Dooku, and would actually give some sense to Obi-wans "Sith Lords are our speciality" line.

He went down like a champ and redeemed himself, with Maul at his side, it was as good a death as I could have hoped for. But everything else in the episode was ****ing retarded.

Matt Lanter tweeted that he got out of a recording both with Sam Witwer, so odds are Maul and Anakin will fight at some point. Maybe Palpatine uses Maul to test Anakin?

When it comes to fall lets just think of our ABC'S

    Adi
    Pre
    Satine
    Savage.

So that gives a hint Ahsoka will survive

I knew Satine was going to die but it still shocked me for some reason, and I don't even really like her character. I guess it's cause I like Obi-Wan and felt sorry for him.

I don't have time to write all my thoughts on the episode, but here are two little details that I really liked:

    - Red Guards! Robes and all! I flipped when I saw them in Palpatine's office.

    - Ki-Adi Mundi actually got to talk! It's kind of sad that it's such a big deal when somebody other than Yoda gets to speak for the Council, but oh well, I'll take what I can get.

Pretty awesome episode. 8/10 (just because it was mostly an action episode)

Just to amuse myself and others...WHAT did Satine mean when she said "Come to do more of your master's bidding?" (when she thought Obi was just another guard.) And then you look at her and her dress and hair are all dirty and disheveled....[face_plain]

Satine died. Kinda saw it coming since we were told to be prepared for deaths when Maul arrived. I liked how she went out BUT can not understand why Obi Wan just kinda stood there the whole time.

Loved the little dialogue between Obi Wan and Maul before he killed Satine.

Bo Katan and her Mandos kicked SO much ass.

Sidious vs Maul and Savage was epic.

Could not help but laugh that Maul cried like a b- when he was beaten. I re-watched Maul vs Vizsla and Vizsla's dignified acceptance of his loss....and then Maul crying....I'm betting Vizsla's thinking right now "CRAP I should have just listened to Bo and let them waste him"

Heck, even Savage met his death with dignity. I guess it goes to show that death really is a true Sith's worst fear, like in Dark Empire.

Got to wonder, what the hell could be in the Ahsoka arc if they chose to make that the season finale instead of this gem?

As far as I'm concerned this was the season finale. I really dont have interest in the third Ahsoka arc of this season.

After ignoring Satine's relationship with Obi-Wan for 3 seasons, I wasn't moved when she died. Having her cling to Obi-Wan after all these years, he doesn't hug her back, has no clue about her sister, and he has no final words to console her - instead we get the Twilight falling apart and Obi-Wan cracking jokes. Color me disappointed.

Did anyone else think Sidious' final lines were voiced by someone other than Abercrombie? Speaking of Abercrombie:

I think they were, might have been the new voice actor. It's a pretty close match then, because I thought it was Abercrombie until I re-watched the scene. Good choice whoever it is.

The original lines in the book were "your existence is now perfectly meaningless." and the book ends.

Best episode of the season. Everything about this episode felt very well done and masterfully put together. A fitting finale to the Maul/Savage arc. 10/10
Now I'm wondering what happens to Maul.

The same thing I thought... it is the new actor. His pronunciations even sounded different. More British than Ian Abercrombie . Abercrombie hid his British accent well.

    "The Lawless":

    +Brilliant opening
    +Dialogue between Satine and Bo
    +Return of the Academy gang
    +Jedi Council scene
    +Obi-Wan's entrance
    +The elevator sequence
+Landing of Twilight - so intense!
    +Conversation between Maul and Obi-Wan
+Oh Satine, you made my cry
+The "Always" really got to me as a "Harry Potter" fan
+The Emperor arriving with JW music!
    +Obi-Wan's expression at the violence
    +THAT FIGHT!
    +Savage's death scene
+The fight in front of the mural depicting Mandalorians fighting the Jedi was oddly quite fitting

There has to be an extended version of this episode...

10/10. This episode really got the emotions out in me. One of the series' best.

Definitely got a Tim Curry vibe, but I think he's going to have to work especially hard to keep Palpatine from sounding menacing while making Sidious sound terrifying.
