Have some mac & cheese mixed with spam in a bowl of lucky charms tonight.

Growing up, most homecooked meals were meat and fries/tater tots, with some Italian or vaguely Mexican meals. My dad's a very 'meat and potatoes' guy, so when he'd get home from work, he cooked what he liked and what was easy for him to cook.

And I know THIS isn't a reprimand, it was just funny when my brother was reprimanded over this. I do get the impression I have managed to be first one this round to reach the "true shame" part of this game this round.

Unfortunately for me, I'm a fat dude who likes to try new foods, so this is kind of difficult. :p

As I will attempt to be playing this legit since Inty wants his goose egg so badly (And really, what fun is a mod "winning" a game?), I've never tried Pad Thai.

I just never get around to it - it's got a reputation as being the sweet and sour chicken of Vietnamese/Thai food and I always want to try the weird phôs with unpronounceable names.

Haven't had it. I've never been a fan of Chinese noodles, so I don't expect Thai would be any better.

Can we get a definition here? I'm looking it up trying to figure out if I've ever had this, so I need a better idea of what sets this apart from other asian dishes.

Well, I guess the sort of broad Wikipedia definition of stir-fried Pho noodles with... fish sauce and tamarind juice? I just know that whenever a restaurant/Vietnamese/Thai place has a Pad Thai on the menu, I've never ordered or tried it.

I see my brilliant strategy of never being photographed and only picking attractive men for my avatars has paid off! :p

Certainly a reasonable plan whenever I manage to get sufficient free time - which is bound to happen, it seems I will be here for the foreseeable future.

I have a goatee, yes - some amount of facial hair is more or less a prerequisite in math departments. I'm unfond of the way the rest grows in.

Nah, 'sall patchy and wiry. Tried it last semester as an experiment/dare with a couple of the other first year math grads, a friend of mine correctly described the results as "Brillo pad." :p

    WTH people?!

    Pad Thai is awesome.

If you haven't had it, go to the nearest Thai place, order it with extra lime on the side, have it with a Thai Tea and then come back here to thank me.
