    Valentines day? Another excuse for hapless guys and girls to waste money on silly things like flowers and chocolates to prove they love someone when they should be showing that kind of affection in other more meaningful ways all year round.

    Do I sound jaded and bitter?

    Hey, marriage isnt bad, I felt that way about Valentines day when I was younger. It's a waste of money, a farce, an excuse for Halmark to make money. ;)

    It doesn't need it honey, it's cleaner than my kitchen bench.

    I prefer quality time, no money needs to be spent and no real effort needs to be made, just one on one, talking and sharing. Its not about money or hard work, its about reminding the one you love that you actually love them ;)

    Yeah, I am too young to be married. Which is good, because I have no interest in marriage whatsoever.

    As for Valentine's day, I'm quite happy to have someone to share it with. Sure its a cash-grab, but who cares?

    And never say never Joe.....facts are those who say never end up alone and a bitterness that makes me look like sugar!! Even my brother who said he'd never marry has done it!

    I never said I wouldn't get married, just that I had no interest in it at this time. Marriage is about spending the rest of your life with someone you love, right? Ergo, you must find that person first before getting married. Without that other person, marriage is pointless.

    I'm a confirmed singleton! Bitter? Not with my nephews and nieces (now great-nephews and great-nieces) to brighten my life! :) (And I always got to hand them back over to their parents at the end of each visit!;):D:p)
