Sweet. So it looks like everyone has posted rosters. Let's do this thing.

First, you've been divided into two groups, which I'll call divisions

    Alley Division

    Blue Screen of Death
    L.A. Courtsiders
    Honey Nut Cheerios
    Sahara Heatwave

    Oop Division

    Midland City Gutless Wonders
    Game...Blouses
    Bruce Willis
    We Talkin' Bout Practice?

And, we'll start games the following way:

Blue Screen of Death @ Sahara Heatwave
L.A. Courtsiders @ Honey Nut Cheerios

We Talkin' Bout Practice @ Midland City Gutless Wonders
    Bruce Willis @ Game...Blouses

Ok, GMs. In the next 24 hours please post or PM me your lineup strategies. This is starters, depth chart, and target minutes at that position. Make sure minutes at each position add up to 48.

You might do it this way:

PG: Kyrie Irving (30 minutes), Boobie Gibson (15 minutes), Andre Miller (3 Minutes)
    SG: Dion Waiters (48 minutes)
SF: Danny Ferry (24 minutes), Alonzo Gee (24 minutes)
PF: Tristan Thompson (20 minutes), Anderson Varajeo (20 minutes), Tyler Zeller (8 minutes)
C: Anderson Varajeo (20 minutes), Tyler Zeller (20 minutes), Shaq (5 minutes), Kyrie Irving (3 minutes)

And may the best simulated team win.

So... Just to make sure, are we allowed to post matchups as well, like if I want Dumars to guard Mumm-Ra when he's on the court? Or if I want certain guys in when certain opponents are in?

No. It's not that advanced. Just depth per position, and target minutes per position

Sahara Heat Wave 119, Blue Screen of Death 112 (OT)

48 minutes weren't enough for the first game of our tournament.

Dwight Howard had 34 points and 24 rebounds, Elgin baylor had 17 points and 16 rebounds, and Tim Duncan added in 22 points and 9 rebounds as the interior of the Heat Wave finally wore down the Blue Screen of Death. The Heatwave ended the night with a 67-53 edge on the boards, helping to offshoot a dreadful night of three-point shooting.

Blue Screen of Death used an 8-0 run late in the first quarter to take early control of the game. Sahara Heat Wave responded to make it a two-point game at the half, mainly on the back of Dwight Howard. The second-half was back-and-forth, with neither team able to get a lead larger than five.

BSoD looked to have it wrapped up with 36 seconds left and holding onto a 4-point lead. But, Bob Cousy hit a 14-foot jumper with 22 seconds left, and when Bob Pettit missed both free-throws, the Heat Wave had new life. Elgin Baylor fired a three that didn't go in, but Dwight Howard pulled down a rebound and put it back in at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.

Howard and Duncan then scored the first six points of overtime, and when Bob Pettit missed a three from the corner with 10 seconds left and his team down 117-112, the fate of the BSoD was sealed. The final margin was provided by Dwight Howard hitting two free throws.

Should we vote on players of the game or would you post who they said? Also can we get copies of our play-by-plays?

I can post their choice for player of the game. For this one, it was Dwight Howard.

For play-by-plays, I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it. Copy/Paste into a word doc didn't work great. Saving as .html file didn't work great. I'll get it figured out for the semis and finals.

From Madison Square Garden in New York City ...

    Honey Nut Cheerios 107, L.A. Courtsiders 101

The Honey Nut Cheerios rode a dominant third quarter to a victory over the Courtsiders.

We had a one-point game at the half.

It was 64-63 in favor of the HNC with 5 minutes to play in the third quarter.

Then Charles Barkley happened. Barkley scored the next 9 points, grabbing five rebounds, including three offensive boards, and set the Honey Nut Cheerios on a run that gave them a lead they would never relinquish.

Barkley ended the game with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Jordan (22/10) and Moses Malone (14/12) also had double-doubles, helping the Cheerios get a definitive win on the glass, as they ended the game with a 54-37 edge on the glass. The Cheerios were also buoyed by an amazing 20/22 from the charity stripe.

The Courtsiders made it interesting down the stretch. A Kevin Durant three with 3:37 to play pulled them within 95-93, but Michael Jordan refused to fade down the stretch, scoring 8 points in the final 3:30 to will his team to a victory. Jordan was named player of the game.
