Hmmm... maybe Loreal was the problem.

 

These past few arcs have surely made some of the characters from S2 and S3 grow older like Yularen and Korkie. I wonder if they will change the timeline now to say that the war took 5-7 years.

The high stress of war can mean that greying can occur overnight, in some cases. As for the 'Captain' Yularen - don't read into it; they're always making mistakes on those images, spelling etc.

I wonder if such a drastic look update is a sign that Yularen may end up taking on a more antagonistic role within the show? A Tarkin-lite, as it were?

TCW likes to highlight it's baddies and goodies as plainly as it can (BLUE LASER IS GOOD! RED IS BAD!) after all.

 

Again, he has aged surprisingly quickly after his apperance in the Slavers arc back in S4 (and he looks even older here than on the reference sheet pic). The war must really have hit him hard lately.

 

Maybe he was dying his hair in his past episodes.

 

Even if the aging is too drastic for less than a year, I must say I love the updated model on his face. IMO they updated him cause maybe he will be part of some bigger arc in the future.

Like with Yoda and this set of episodes. It was made so it could be seen.

 

Wait...that's seriously what Yularen is going to look like next time we see him?? The hair color is one thing, but the face is so drastically different as to borderline the absurd. Even presidents of the United States don't age nearly that fast.

I have to argree with you his face looks very dramatic considering the war hasn't been retronced which means its still 3 years considering how he was in the first year of the war (movie + early seasons)

Presumably we're going to see Yularen again in a major role if they updated his model.

 

Yes! Very likely why would they update a model that has had just 4 background/camo apperances since season 2? I'm hoping this means he will be back

 

Yularen seems to get knowledge about the truth about the war? That can be a possible explanation why he getting so old so quickly. And later he joins ISB...He must know more than the Jedi. It seems Tarkin, Yularen and all that Military Clone Base/ Monuments for them are slowly preparing for replacing the jedi order as "peacekeepers". That is the only explanation why Republic would spend credits to build huge monumentals/Statues and a Jedi Temple like building for the Clones.
