    Ewan McGregor is great and such a wonderful Obi-Wan. I really hope he has a part in one of the spin-offs.

    I like Ewan so much I'd go to the Obi-Wan spin-off: "3 hours sitting in the hot Tatooine double suns making sure Luke is behaving himself" long title, great movie.

    Or something before TPM or inbetween AOTC and ROTS. I don't think we'll see an Obi-Wan spin-off though as he is a major character in the saga altough fingers crossed for Ghost Obi-Wan in new episodes and who knows maybe he camo in the spin-offs.

    Hologram Obi Wan played by McGregor is about the only thing possible in the ST that would make any sense.

    Any other role would have to be in spin-off material, be it TV or movies.

    I'm so hoping that that Seven Samurai-inspired movie happens and stars Obi-Wan Kenobi (or I guess it would be Ben Kenobi) protecting Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru and their moisture farming community from bandits or gangsters. It would be such a great way to bring Ewan back.

    This book is supposed to come out soon; I say just adapt it to a screenplay. I'll watch it. Assuming there's a role for Owen and Beru, maybe they can get Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse to come back as well.

    Wouldn't a film showing Obi protecting the Lars homestead be part of the Skywalker saga and therefore ending up episode 3.5?

    What does he say tho? I can't have the sound on right now :(

    I can see him appearing in the Fett one tho. Boba hates Jedi. Manages to track down Obi. Fun begins. Jabba can be in there too.

    Basically that no one told him about Han or Boba movies, but he was informed by Lucasfilm about Episode 7. That's about it.

    He doesn't say anything, really. Kimmel asks him if he's heard the news; he hasn't. So Kimmel tells him that they're going to make a Han Solo and a Boba Fett movie, to which Ewan reacts with surprise. Kimmel jokes that since Ewan hasn't heard of it, he's obviously not going to be in it. And that's really it.
