Cad Bane does he contradict the EU

The term "Durosface" needs to be canon now.

That Cade Bane is a cool guy. He hunts force users and doesn't afraid of anything.

In contrast, "Hutt" always seems to want an article before it for some reason.

Like, I'd happily write "Jabba's a Hutt", but for some reason it seems weird to say "Jabba's Hutt".

 

I guess some species names better lend themselves to being used as adjectives than others...
All species ending in "-an" or "-ian", obviously; personally I'd also say species names ending with "-i" (Mon Calamari, Ishori)... but somehow Duros wasn't one of them.

E.g. when I read "he's an Ishori", my first though would be "an Ishori what?" But when I see "He's a Duros" I somehow assume Duros to be a noun. For Hutts it's easy, seeing as Jabba has always had an article -- so much so actually that I used to think "Hutt" was a profession or something, rather than a species name.

 

As others have pointed out in the past that might really just be the Hutts having a laugh at the expense of others, as Hutt apparently means glorious in Huttese.

Although, there are other species I feel the same about too, say... Killik seems like something that works better with an article too. "He's Killik" or "He's a Killik"?

And I suppose the glorious and all-knowing Jabba never did catch on when people referred to him as "Jabba the Hut"?

 

Serious note: I'm sure he'll defeat all Force users if TCW gives him the chance.

 

He'll beat both Sidious and Maul at the same time. The show tries very, very hard to make us think he's awesome, after all. Just look at that hat!

 

Some things get lost in translation, though the pronunciation would still be the same.

But does his cool hat contradict the EU? After all, there are many other cool hats around.

Hm, that is a good point... Only one hat can claim the title of Cool Hat. For that matter, does Embo's hat contradict the EU?

 

Much better question is why Bane is apparently the only Duros to wear hats

Pah no other SW character ever had as cool an action figure as slime vomiting Jabba.




Though he would look even more awesome with a hat.
