In TCW he was pretty damn awsome. "The Bounty" is one of my fav Episodes.

 

Wonderful.

Bossk is quite a humble fellow.

 

Too bad he speaks English in TCW...

 

Its a cartoon, I presume that they figure kids don't want to read while they watch?

 

You'd think it'll be a guy in a suit with a CGI head.

 

Having kids read subtitles doesn't seem to be a problem with kids and the live action movies

 

The TCW Jabba has subtitles too!

 

Bossk is my homeboy.

 

I always thought he said "Watch your mouth!" in a gravelly voice in Empire. This is going back to when I saw it the first time in the theater in 1980, had to wait 3 months to go to "Avoid the lines". Watch this scene again and tell me what you think.... And it would be cool if he was in the new movie.

As you can tell by the name, I'm in for it. Star Wars: Bounty Hunters. They could set it during the OT and detail the bounty hunter universe, including the battle to capture Han. Or they can set it after Episode VI, when the Empire is weakened, all hell breaks loose, and the Bounty Hunters have free reign. Focusing on Bossk, rather than Fett, gives them much more creativity, as we all know Fett goes down like a bumbling idiot. I'm all for it. Bounty Hunting is fan-friendly and entertaining in almost any fictional universe.

 

No, I don't think it was anything in Basic (English). It sounds like "Smph rowwrrghph", which I assume is some sort of menacing or insulting phrase in his native language. I didn't like hearing him speak Basic in TCW, actually... but as others said, they probably didn't think kids would want to read subtitles.

 

I didn't like it either, Bossk is a lot scarier talking like he did in TESB.

 

You don't want to encourage kids to read, you might turn them into nerds or something.

it's a big universe, Bossk should be able to speak more than one language.

No no, he says, "Let's look for Alf!" (Listen to it next time with this in mind, and you'll never be able to hear it any other way!) See, Bossk and Alf were a team of super-cool ladies-men bounty hunters, before they got separated during a firefight, and Alf came to Earth to star in his own NBC sitcom. Now Bossk travels the Galaxy enlisting others to help him look for his old chum.
