I haven't been to TFN since before the move... and this is what I come back to? Well, I think I can definitively say that Cad Bane is from Duro, and thus Duros. This is all tjace 's fault. I should never have told him I was starting my rpg on Duro...

Duro is a slang term. It means possessing the quality seen in the Duros in Chalmun's Cantina. "Aren't you worried about our new navigator?" "Nah man, he's Duro."

 

It's called irony, mate. ;o)

That, and crucifixion was a form of capital punishment in use far earlier than that tale about a bloke rising from the dead after three days.

Actually, now that I think about it, he isn't a Duros. Bane was really born an albino Zeltron. He couldn't stand it, with the mocking and torment, so he underwent a medical procedure to re-color himself. Sadly, the doctor who performed the procedure was colorblind. While he thought he was dyeing him red, he was actually dyeing him blue.

After the surgery, Bane was so upset he tried to commit suicide, horribly mangling his face. He was rushed back to the same doctor who attempted to reconstruct it. However, the doctor also had memory lose. He could not remember Bane's appearance and had to guess. The results were horrible.

Now, incredibly disfigured and blue, Bane could not return to Zeltros to fulfill his dream of becoming a lawyer. Instead, he made a vow to help those unable to help themselves. He became a bounty hunter.

So, you see, he's not Duros.
