Just thinking: Could it be that Savage is the first major character who went out of the show without meeting Ahsoka?

 

Overlords was good but not the best by far.... Rookies was great as well. I wouldnt compare this episode to either of those two. Possibly shades of reason and eminence but not this episode.

I like Overlords better than this episode, but Overlords is my favorite episode of the series. A major reason The Lawless is a top episode for me is its demonstration of Sith philosophy, but Overlords had even more complex, abstract, and also new philosophies and uses of the Force.

 

Gave this an 8/10. Just watched the Mando/Maul arc.

Some good stuff in here but felt too rushed. Felt like Obi-Wan arrived on the scene too late. Didn't feel any dramatic tension, although I suppose I knew most of what was going to happen anyway.

Yeah the Sidious fight was pretty cool, now as I feared, makes Sidious look even more lame in ROTS. It looked like they took some of the double-saber fighting technique from the Jedi Academy game? Even Palpatine readying his shuttle felt rushed to me. Why act now?

And I think it's bs that the Jedi had no authority to act. Or are they solely a political entity now? They used to be the guardians of peace and justice throughout the galaxy, but I guess that's no longer the case. I get if they called it a military operation they would need clearance...but if they're running the war would they? At any rate, shows the idiocy of the Jedi Order at the time of the PT.

I have to give Sam Witwer credit, he did a very good job.

Liked the Sidious Duel near the end

 

Maybe because its in recent memory, but this episode is a very easy 10/10 and quite possibly my favorite episode of The Clone Wars. The dynamic with Maul, Obi-Wan, and Satine was amazing. I truly felt for Obi-Wan, and it shows how great of a Jedi he is by not giving into revenge.

The fact that it was a drunken one night stand doesn't diminish that fact. Seeds were spread and planted.

 

You're confusing Ahsoka with Ventress. After all, Savage himself said that his life belonged to Asajj.
