Oh yeah, half the folks in Sam's this weekend. And as for southern twang, IDK, no one ever seems to actually be from Florida.

I rewatched the anime Wolf's Rain over the weekend and finished the last three episodes tonight. Not as good as I remembered it.

LACWAC has picked up quite a few newbs recently. That's a good thing, more people means more discussion.

I think the whole site has picked up more traffic, I saw over 500 people online on the JCF main page and it kinda shocked me. Four hundred were guests, but still.

Hm, haven't heard of that anime, Seerow. Guess it's not worth checking out?

And yeah there been a lot of nubcakes this past weekend at least in LACWAC.

Wolf's Rain is probably a better watch the first time around. Its basically about an apocalyptic alternate world where Humans evolved from Wolves and the Wolves can disguise themselves as humans. They search for paradise. Got some cool action and good characters. The story tends to be a little tough to follow though.

    its got a mindscrew ending.

Now typically I don't pay much attention to animation much in anime but this time around the way the legs were drawn on the wolves bugged me, particularly the back legs.

    Prologue dubbed, hello Adam!

AnakinsOtherSon we should take the video game discussion here.

I've spent about 440 hours playing ME and ME2 according to Steam, but haven't played ME3. I really feel no desire to.

I'm a big fan of some of the supporting characters and the universe itself, but I was never really attached to Shepard. I don't really get attached to choice-driven characters that are controlled by the player.

anakinfansince1983 I can't recommend Spartacus to you, it's just extreme violence with some soft porn thrown in.

Yes, that's exactly what it is, plus lots of intrigue, nasty people and backstabbing. The focus of this show is on the absolute basics, or should I say bare necessities? No frills, all gorn. And that's why I like it so much.

Yeah, I love every bit of that.

But just going off what anakinfan has said over the years, I don't think she'll like it. I can't speak for her, but I can't recommend it to her, either.

I'm mostly Scotch-Irish with a bit of German thrown in. Do I need to elaborate? :p

So what Fanboy described was the rule rather than exception I guess? Thanks for letting me know. I'll skip this one.

I'm still catching up on Firefly and The Big Bang Theory.

This sums up Spartacus in its entirety. In fact, I think it is the mandatory template for each episode. And the dialogue can be utterly ridiculous at times. I think there should be a drinking game established based on when the words ***k, ***k, ***t, and a*s are used and word bonuses for when they are used in the same sentence.

Well, we just bought a scruffy little Yochon dog today! He will leave his mom in about 5 weeks ... we didn't tell sonny yet, though, because he wouldn't be able to sleep for the next five weeks :).
Now all we need is a name with 'R' as the little one is from an 'R'-litter ... but so far we haven't found one we could agree on. It was really funny when we sat around the dinner table tonight and mom suddenly shouted 'Rambo' across the table, which dad countered with 'Ronny'. You should have seen our son's face :D.

Yes, exactly. Ours is black-and-tan. Dang, they were all so cute ... the others were white-and-brown and one was just brown. Would have loved to collect them all :). Oh, and we just happened to agree on 'Riddick' ... a female equivalent might have been named 'Ripley' :). I'm pretty sure sonny would have wanted his name to be 'Rex', but the little one doesn't look like a Rex at all. - Okay, he's got far too many hair for a Riddick, but he still looks like that might be his name.

Kualan is there already a thread for discussing your Clone Wars web-comic? I'm really curious to know if The Wheel in your current issue is the same as the old school Marvel Star Wars comics:

There is a thread in the Fan Art section, but nobody seems to use it, haha, so am happy to talk about it here.

As to your question - the Wheel in the latest issue of the comic is indeed the same one as in the Marvel comics! But I'm more familiar with it from it's cameo appearances in the Dark Horse Republic and Legacy lines.

Kualan that's interesting, I don't have any issues of Republic, but I have a good chunk of the Legacy run, thing is I read all those before I got the old school Marvel comics, so I wouldn't have made that connection at the time. Do you happen to know what issues those might be? I had the first issues in a trade-paperback I let someone borrow and never got back, but I still have a decent stack of singles.

I disagree. While its excessive in its gore and violence, the story in Seasons 1, 2, and 4 are pretty good and the characters such as Crassus, Batiatus, and Spartacus are pretty well-written.
