Thanks a lot! It actually turned out better than I expected.

If you click it to enlarge it, it should be clear. It's Anakin and Mace on the bottom, Anakin and Ahsoka on top. In both cases, Anakin is pleading with a Jedi to go by-the-book instead of going rogue in trying circumstances he's emotionally tied to (see my posts in The Jedi Who Knew Too Much discussion thread for further ranting).

I think I've already bought the PS4.

 

My damn livestream feed kept cutting out, so I missed a bit.. Any mention of 4K or 3D?

 

No, there wasn't. Doubt 4K TVs will be mainstream for another decade yet, we've only just got everybody 1080p HD TVs. Oh, and 3D sucks.

The ability for the PS4 to eliminate the need for saves though! So you can turn off your console in the middle of a firefight (single-player obviously) to go to work, whatever, come back in 8-10 hours and start right back where you were is just awesome.

 

Why does the controller have a screen?

 

It may not be mainstream, but Sony came out with the first 4K TV, and the PS2 could output 1080i while the PS3 was pretty much one of the first 1080p capable devices. Lack of 4K is kind of a deal breaker for me unfortunately. (And 3D doesn't suck on a proper setup )

I did really like the 'sleep mode' though.. I'm torn, on one hand, I don't really game much anymore, on the other, it's the PS4...

Because the gamers said "MOAR SCREENS!!!"

 

It's not a screen, it's a touchpad. And it's likely because the Vita has a touchpad, and it seems as if they intend to have ALL Vita games available on PS4.

 

Okay, so follow-up question: why does everything have to have touchpads?

 

If I were to speculate, I'd say the hardware will support 4K, but the games themselves probably won't for at least a couple of years. Oh, and 3D does suck. The extra depth is not worth anything, the only reason I tolerate it is because it's a step (along with motion controls) to virtual reality, which will own my life.

 

Because the DS was successful. No, really, that's the reason.

I'm just glad it's a touchpad that will likely be optional and NOT a second screen like the Wii U. It's stupid to have a second screen as you can only look at one of them, and looking away from my 50" HDTV to a tiny 5" screen is stupid.
