Discussion just watched Tales from Earthsea, the ST should adapt this story

this anime called Tales of Eartsea is all about a sorcerer trying to maintain baance, a young hero struggling with the fear of death and an evil witch trying to unbalance. Star Wars VII should totally work with this storyline

 

Or it should totally think up it's own new storyline.

 

Indeed. Star Wars has always been inspired by other works of science fiction, but it's never resorted to outright theft.

And three posts in, I think we've already played this thread out! Is that a new record?

 

but how would the characters adapt. what would hans story be in this movie. i believe that they will attempt to tie the PT with the ST and trying to maintain balance will be how they do it. just imagine an anachist ala joker trying to un balance the force and luke having to stop him
