We have to compare it to the threads in Chalmun's Cantina. Maybe this isn't truly an open thread does that contradict the EU

So what sort of threads are in Chalmun's?

We're getting drastically off-topic here. This isn't a discussion about what an open thread looks like. Let's try to stay focused here, people.

    Care to elaborate?

Since this is not the thread for repititive rephrasing, I'm sorry, but I can't let go of the Eastwood/Cad Bane question. And here's what I thought of after seeing a few Cad Bane and Boba TCW episodes: The Man With No Name is very much like the original Django. And Boba is so much like the original Jango! Cad Bane, not so much. He came into the whole Boba/Jango dynamic like Lee Van Cleef entered the Eastwood/Django dynamic. Also, we have no Clint Eastwood in Chalmun's Cantina, so we can't really compare Cad Bane to the Clint Eastwood in Chalmun's Cantina, can we.

Perhaps one of the Duros in Chalmun's Cantina is actually a flow-walking Cad Bane. Or both of the Duros in Chalmun's Cantina are actually Cad Bane, one of them in real time and the other flow-walking. Think about it. For one, it would render all those comparisons utterly moot. Maybe we have been comparing Cad Bane to himself all this time?

That raises the new question of whether all Duros are just elderly Chiss flow-walkers whose noses have collapsed as a natural part of ageing.

I simply hope that an eventual Episode 4 3D re-release will fix this scene and put a huge hat on the Duros in Chalmun's Cantina. A 3D hat popping out of the screen, that is. I don't even care on which of the two Duros, because they can always CGI-replace the other with a Chiss. Or with Baron Papanoida.

Wait, 3D? That means Disney will add an additional Duros to the cantina scene, otherwise it would only be 2D!

Why only put the hat on one of them?

If all Duros are the same flow-walking Chiss, then both Cad Banes in Chalmun's Cantina need hats.

The next time we are having the same old discussion about TCW canon/Episode VII/Stardestroyer lengths you'll feel nostalgic about this thread. A thread where people can put away their disagreements and go deep into the philosophical question "Cad Bane does he contradict the EU"

Would it be safe to say that all Duros are flow-walking Cad Banes? Making him not a Duros, but the Duros.
