while this is true i suppose, i don't really see how it's avoidable or why it's necessarily a bad thing. i guess i'm not really sure what you guys are getting at. yes, we give posters who generally make sense the benefit of the doubt when they post something that might be considered a bit out there. and yes, we are quick to react when beezel posts his latest rant of absurd nonsense. what's the alternative? judge everyone on each individual post? give beezel a clean slate and a fresh start every time he says something?

I don't know about you, but I'd me more afraid to tell a Muslim that I'm atheist than if I told a member of any other religion.

Enough talk about beezel. If you feel inclined to discuss his very particular psyche, you can make an r/beezel subreddit and go wild on it.

im not. im always much more wary of evangelical christians and mormons (not "afraid" even then, just cautious of creating an uncomfortable social situation). but as a ethnic pakistani there's a different context there for you and im not comfortable telling you, you shouldnt feel that way

I totally can relate to the creating uncomfortable social situations around mormons. I have to really watch what I say at work. I was reported for holding a work function on a Sunday. Most of my employees acted like I killed a puppy or something.

haha Rox 's adventures in mormonland. how much longer til you break and have to move again, btw? or are you adjusting to the culture shock?

but yeah seriously some of its contextual. i might be slower to declare my beliefs to muslims in the middle east than i am with muslims here.

and id probably try to blend in and hope for the best if i lived in utah... apparently i give an LDS vibe somehow, because ive had people ask me if im LDS a lot lately, including a couple of practicing mormons. the other week i had to exclaim "c'mon, you've seen me drink alcohol... IVE DRANK YOUR ALCOHOL!" at a dance buddy who asked if i was mormon

    Richard Reed.

And can we just all agree that having stretching powers is the stupidest superhero power available? I would rather just be a normal human if that's my only alternative.
