I'm so sore today. I fell off my horse yesterday while cantering. Bruised thigh, bruised heel, BURNED fingers and a deep love for my helmet!

Thanks Swan. It's not so bad; my instructor says I took the fall well, and everything's a bit easier than yesterday. Just achey.

My niece goes riding with me, and her horse is sister to mine. I was behind her when my horse went sideways. She turned to see why I was yelping, her horse spooked and she fell too! Landed on her backside and was up checking on me straight away. Once she knew I was okay, she was off grabbing the horses. Such a good girl.

 

Well that's good at least. Awww, I'm glad she was there with you. Always sucks to get hurt and have no one else there.

 

Our instructor was there too, and another student.

Doc's appointment done - I have strep throat, or possibly glandular fever, so it's antibiotics for me. Ooh yay, ooh yay.

 

Just make sure you only take the dosage they tell you to and you should be fine. I hope.

 

Sounds like you've really been in the wars, Katana! Hope you are back to normal soonest!

Doing okay, my thigh is a bit better today. Mum showed me one of Greatgrandmama's treatments (arnica and sweet almond oil to bring out the bruising) and now the pain isn't so deep; it isn't seizing up the whole muscle anymore. I'm very impressed.

In other news, I got a tweet from Aaron Allston! (I asked him a question about a book, he replied, no big deal, right? :-D).

Just asked if 'Plotting: A Novelist's Workout Guide' would be available on iBooks. Yep, and now it's snug on my iPad! Quick reply too, I only asked last night! (Sorry if it's not about Star Wars books, but I'm hoping it gets me going on my own work!)

Katana_Sundancer Do you like the book so far? I'm planning to go to Allston and Stackpole's writing seminars at DragonCon this year. I'm so excited, I can't decide which books/comics to bring for them to sign!
