Worst characters in TCW?

And why? In my personal opinion.


Asajj Ventress
Savage Opress
Asohka

 

I could never get into Savage either. He was created...and then was always overshadowed. He always felt like a tool to further the other characters goals, or to reveal something about the sith, apart from when he was introduced I never felt like he was a real person.

My list:
-Super Tactical Droids (I mean f-ing why?)
-Whoever that asshat was that created the blue shadow virus. I could never understand his motivations
-The obnoxious mon calamari prince. Just peeved me every time he opened his mouth.

 

Savage is one of the worst characters ever.

 

The young Mon Cala king from the Water War arc. His character was of very little consequence to the overall saga and his characterization was too one dimensional. More focus on Akbar would have been a better use of Clone Wars time. That whole arc actually is very low on my list.

 

Prince Lee Char immediately comes to mind when I think of worse characters in TCW. Him and Vindi.

 

So what are your reasons for disliking Ahsoka, Ventress, and Savage?

 

Ahsoka is too weak
Savage, is pretty much useless now
Asajj, well I don't know I just don't like her.

3 great characters...

I dont have many dislikes... my main one was senator chuchi. The one from pantora. I felt like she betrayed Chairman Cho by making peace with the tals after they killed him and the clones. She was so scared, just an extreme dislike of the character. Besides that, I love them all... I just want Maul to get his revenge on that dirtbag Sidious for murdering his brother Savage.

 

Prince Lechar or however you spell his name, and of course this was inevitable, Jar Jar.

 

Padme

 

Come on, Jar-Jar hasn't been that bad (particularly compared to his movie counter-part)

 

I disagree. In TPM, he's a clown and has plenty of needless, tiresome slapstick moments, but he's also a noble individual who tries in his own way to bring the Naboo and the Gungans together. In AOTC, he's a gullible but generally earnest politician. In ROTS, he's just... there, and depressed at Padme's funeral. Generally, Jar Jar is actually rather mature in much of the PT.

In TCW, he's often made out to be a complete and utter idiot. He kills the Gran senator sent to negotiate with the pirates, he destroys Padme's ship, he almost kills Padme by exposing her to a bioweapon, he plays the fool in front of General Grievous...

I can understand that this is because of the series' need to appeal to certain younger viewers, but man, it's a real regression from where he is at the end of TPM and in AOTC. I tolerated him in Sphere Of Influence, but he's horrendous elsewhere.

 

WHAT?!?

Chairman Cho was a warmongering *******. You... agreed with him? You wanted this race to be wiped out because this man felt entitled to this planet? I... I don't even know any more.

I know I will be made fun of for this.

But..

I actually laughed at a lot of the things he did in TCW, unlike TPM.

 

I didn't laugh at him in TPM, but I thought he could have had a great story in that film if much of the slapstick had been excised. It was fundamentally quite an interesting journey from obscurity in the swamp to the heights of society.

In TCW, there's often very little to his portrayal but slapstick.

 

Worst character: Still Jar-Jar
Second worst characters: WACky and The Frogman
Worst name: Savage Oppress. The character is fine, but that name... it really does bring up Maddox's question about how, at that point, why not just name your characters "Evil" and "Bad"?

 

If only Jar Jar didn't appear in ROTS, because the creators could have had Grevious slaughter the frog.

 

While the arc was pretty bad, WAC did have his moments ("Leave me" "OKAY!")

 

Ja-Jar is one of the worst in my opinion. :3

Asajj's overly-colorful, pig-tail, vine-whip bounty hunter friend. Just the character design.. ugh.
