Don't expect it any time soon. I love KotOR, I've even written mods for it... but I'm pretty sure Drew Karpyshyn's script has nothing to do with KotOR whatsoever considering the fact that the source materials above even state (when you look into it) that he's got "a script" that he's "selling to agents" for "production in hollywood". If it were KotOR, we would know exactly who he was selling it to. For all we know this could be a Mass Effect movie, or even something unrelated to Bioware or LucasArts properties.

This rumor came out last Friday and it has since been debunked.

 

I thought it only half debunked... we got confirmation Drew wasnt involved but not that Lucasarts isnt considering a KotOR movie. Anyways IMHO after TOR its a good thing Drew isnt involved the game wasnt nearly as good as it could be, and Drew is an untested Screenwriter.

Honestly I'm not sure why this thread keeps getting locked. I posted a thread a while back proposing the idea of a KOTOR film before it was a legitimate rumor. That got locked because it technically counted as EU discussion, which I suppose is true, but THIS is discussion of an actual, publicized rumor. It's no worse than the dozens of other speculation threads currently inhabiting this board. I think a KOTOR film is absolutely something that should be given its own space to discuss.

 

The 'Knight's of the old Republic' will be a movie but way down the track......

I kinda agree. We should have ONE thread on KOTOR as a movie. But, i dont know if the Episode VII and Beyond is the right place....since its BEFORE Episode VII...

Isnt it subtitled "other future Star Wars films" time line shouldnt matter... then again Im a noob and dont yet know all the rules here yet.

 

I would support a KOTOR film all day!
