I'll need some time to decide on who to nominate. I can think of a few good options, but none that really stand out.

 

Blonde bombshell is about the only physical description you need for Besany. It just comes down to finding a talented blonde bombshell. Kidman works for me because of that. Plus, she's part Australian. She'll fit right in with the New Zealanders. (apologies to any New Zealand/Aussie peeps)

 

Robimus: I'm loving the figure setup. Not trying to hate on it in the slightest. But just as an FYI, we do have a canon picture of Besany, courtesy the Essential Reader's Companion.

As for my nomination, I'm going with Yvonne Strahovski.

 

If the scene is the one I'm thinking of, the one right when Jusik first sits down to begin healing Fi (which I'm going off of by the place of the characters and the description of Jusik sitting with his eyes closed) than it's definitely Besany. Ordo would be on the opposite side of the "camera" with Kal. Telti―Jaller's wife―was over by the door. And before anyone asks, yes I did have to check the book again for that, my memory's not that good.

And there's just some deductive reasoning with the picture itself. There are only two women who it could be, so we start at 50/50. Character is blonde, believably attractive for a background character painted by Scalf, appears younger than what you'd reasonably expect a woman married to someone around Kal's age to look like, and is wearing something that looks like reasonable Star Wars business attire. Not exactly 100% definitive, but on top of the scene described in the book, it makes Besany the far more likely choice of the two.

 

Ditto on Yvonne Strahovski! Great choice!

 

Oh, I'm aware. I just don't think she looks like Dr. Crusher

Lots of good choices so far but I am going to nominate Scarlett Johansson

 

I 2nd this motion, it's amazing how Yvonne isn't a huge celebrity yet

 

Her man chin scared me in Mass Effect 2. Also, she isn't a huge celebrity because she hasn't been in much stuff of note outside of Chuck, Mass Effect or Dexter.

 

I loved Chuck. Best TV series ever.

Well, a couple of my considerations have already been nominated, so I won't bother to throw in anyone else.

Wow. No matter who we vote for here we can't lose. I am going to vote for... Nicole Kidman, no wait. Heather Graham. Shab. umm Yvonne Strahouski. No that's not right either. Ok this one is really hard, they all would work well, but I am going to stick to my nominee Scarlett Johansson.

 

Good noms all around. Scarlett's especially gorgeous. But my gut and my own mental image from reading are keeping my vote with Yvonne Strahovski.

 

Jeez, this one's a pretty tough pick... but I'm gonna have to throw my vote behind Yvonne Strahovski.

 

ok, that makes more sense. And yeah I do prefer her as a red head.
