I cried when I turned 20, but that was because I tripped and fell down the stairs and landed on my best friend who fell on the floor opening a portal to hell causing lava to fill the dorm hallway, and he ended up breaking his neck and dying horribly.

Edit: Since you asked I believe the woman in the gold bikini is former WWE Diva/Wrestler/Women's Champion Candice Michelle. She's about the only one I recognize, and I believe she's since become a stay at home mom.

 

Somebody's daughter. That's what's disturbing to me these days. That isn't to say I don't STILL have the utmost respect for Hef. But still...

 

I had no idea Lady_Sami_J_Kenobi was that old. I had always lumped her in with the Rachels, DLM, etc.

As I said, turning 30 not a problem at all, was in my final year of law school and having a blast, turning 40 also quite a fun time, second daughter had just been born. I have to admit, though, 46 is coming up this October and has me a bit spooked, being closer to 50 than 40. Mainly due to work not going quite the way I had planned, and realizing that I'm rapidly closing in on that age where employers won't hire you any more.

i don't remember my 30th birthday at all.

I turn 30 this summer. I suspect I will cry, reflect on all I haven't accomplished, and contemplate becoming a missionary/join the circus.

 

man, i've been thinking about this and i can only remember three birthdays from my entire life. i remember my 18th birthday because it was the first birthday where i lived on my own and all of my super poor friends went all out and gave me amazing presents and made me feel very loved. i remember my 21st birthday because i was in honolulu and it was awesome and debaucherous. and i remember my 38th birthday because it was less than three months ago. i'm sure by the time i turn 39 i won't be able to recall a single detail of that day, just like every other birthday i've ever had.

nah, i only kept a journal in the summer when i was with my dad and my birthday is in december. i think it being close to christmas is a reason i don't remember any of my childhood birthdays. if i ever got a super big present it was always on christmas and not my birthday.
