Full Series Season 6/ Bonus Material Discussion (Spoiler Free)

I believe that Dantooine had been abandoned as a Rebel staging ground by the time of ANH. There are two reasons we could come up with for him not mentioning it to Tarkin:

1. He wanted Tarkin to fail. It's clear they're not getting along by this time.
2. He assumed that the Rebels periodically switch bases, and they'd decided to move back to Dantooine.

I know there is a source that states that Palpatine sent Vader to the Death Star to keep an eye on Tarkin who had delusions of grandeur. So I can somewhat buy that one but wouldn't Palpatine want the Empire to be used effectively so why waste resources like that? Or is that political maneuvering?
If I was on the run from someone I would not go back to a known base. That would be suicide.

 

Well, Tarkin states that Dantooine is too remote a system to be an effective demonstration. Alderaan is blown up to generate fear. Fear of this battle station. Tarkin has such good quotes!

Anyway, yes. Alderaan was blown up as a warning to other rebels. Join the rebellion and your home planet may meet the same fate as Alderaan. Afterwards, they went to Dantooine and found it abandoned.

 

I don't want the episode in Mondays because most episodes on Disney xd are in Mondays .

 

I wonder how long it will be until we get a season 6 announcement for some sort of teaser. .

I'm not the greatest businessman, but Disney bought Lucasfilm and the rights to SW so they can continue to generate revenue off of the licensing. If you just count the merchandising alone, TCW generates a tremendous amounts of income. I can't think of one TV show on the Disney channels that compares to the popularity of TCW. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't make good business sense to cancel TCW. I have more of a fear that they just CONTINUE to make shows just for the sake of making shows and not put any effort into the stories.

 

I'm seriously worried about season 6 now when Disney owns the Lucasfilm but has not announced season 6 of TCW..... but I guess we can see those episodes in some form anyway..... hopefully...

 

Well I think they should go to 8 or 7

 

I m sure Lucas stroke a deal with Disney before selling SW that Disney will not interviene in TCW show.Therefore I think we will have that 8 season for sure as Filoni said.

 

Maybe on May The 4th they will announce that TCW will move to Disney XD and debut a season 6 trailer.

 

I think we'll get an announcement of sorts at Star Wars Weekend this year. Its interesting the CN call the season 5 finale as the season finale exclusive to CN. CN may still be negotiating to keep the show.

 

I'm hoping and praying they do I only get basic cable at college.

 

They're definitely doing Season 6. It's been confirmed to have been written out and they were reporting working on the episodes. I find it hard to believe that the sale would effect any of this.

If the show moves channels, then you can just download the thing via "alternative" means. I don't get up early enough to watch these and they're up on various places by noon on Saturday.

 

Dont care where I just want it back on Fridays.

 

Season 5 of The Clone Wars ended in a very emotional episode.

I'm positive they are making another season.

Question is...when will the release date be? Is there any news of it?

Normally I'm optimistic but this is Disney we're talking about. The only show that i can think of that survived jumping to a Disney network was Doug and even then they replaced most of the old staff for the show.

 

Which is indeed odd as Doug was awful.
