I just noticed something...that profile in the first pic looks like my husband back when he sported a full beard and mustache...he has the same face shape and nose...amazing!

Lol! Yeah it looks a lot bigger to me. I know he adds to it but I bet they painted over it too! Though he could still say it was all the girls he loved and let people make their own assumptions :p :D

I have to say the beard in the other picture (not a fan of the mullet so much!) but the beard does not bother me at all! I don't mind the rugged look at all sometimes. And Ellen commented on how soft it was! Omg...swoon!!!

I have to say he looks pretty frickin' awesome. I wasn't a fan of the goatee look in the real world but it definetly works on the character!

Not that long, but yes...and in the pic it looks thin at the top (I know on Ewan that's not the case, but it looks that way int he pic)..and my hubby's hair was really thinning, but it was still long (and still is, really, he just no longer sports the beard, mainly because of the job he got...but when he finally shaved it I discovered he had a cleft chin...! I had never paid attention to that before (the one or two times he had shaved early in our marriage).

I'm thinking of going tomorrow - in Imax. I have the choice of normal, 3d, or Imax - thoughts?

I wish I was going too! Can anyone baby-sit?

Just my luck, my parents who love to baby-sit are actually going to Washington for the next 5 days :p

    Without me!

That would be so fun though! It could be like a Ewan movie marathon day [face_love]

    Sure thing!!!!!!!!

When I have a job (and $$$) I want to pop down to Oregon anyway and do some geneological research. Granddad was born and raised in The Dalles; his dad lived there & in Douglas and thereabouts after moving west after his Civil War service. I've spent a good part of the past week or so doing some research (of course, without joining Ancestry and such because of lack of $$).

In the meantime, I'm here if you ever come up - not a lot of room, but I have sleeping pads and a sleeping bag used for camping, so I'd be happy to sleep on the floor and give you my room.

When I see a new movie, I'll start with normal. And if I like the movie, I'll try it in 3D. So Val, try normal first.

Nice! :D It's always fun to do that geneological research. I've realized recently there's so many places even in Oregon that I never go or enjoy. I really need to fix that! So many beautiful spots. It doesn't help I'm always busiest with work during the summer.

If you hike, you must go around the South Sister area (Mt. Bachelor). Green Lake is gorgeous! Around McKenzie Pass is good if you like lava - but I just love the hiking around Sisters and Bend. Haven't done as much around Hood or Crater Lk to compare, though.

I'd say my fav hiking areas besides the Wash Cascades (all of it - North, Central, Goat Rocks, Mt. Rainier NP) is Canadian Rockies (especially in larch season), Sierras, Rocky Mountain Natl Park and Sisters OR area.
